I spent the last five days studying like a maniac, cleaning in the manor and training with Luna. As if chasing mice around the old house wasn't a work out enough! Luna had me running five miles a day, one hour of kick boxing and seventy minutes of meditation. Tonight was clubbing with Luke and his friends, I invited Amelia who RSVP'd almost immediately.

"Faster," Iris yelled at me while I ran circles around the manor. "If a vampire were chasing you... Well you'd just be a sweaty meal right now!"

"Good!" I shouted at her, making my fifth lap around the house. "Good I would gladly be-" I panted, running till I reached around again to Iris and halted. "-Vampire chow, at this point."

Iris rolled her eyes, "Kiddo, you were vampire chow ten minutes ago.."

I shoved her playfully, "Thanks for letting me die then!"

"Hey! It's your job to keep yourself alive," she laughed. "Sorry. You'll be missed."

"Not enough to be saved though?"

"Get going, you have two more laps," Iris made her two fingers run across her palm, indicating I need to do the same.

"Nope," I replied. "I'm Going to take a shower, it's Saturday and I have a party to get to."

Iris smiled, "That's my girl! Blowing off studying to party," Iris hugged me tightly. "So wonderful to have another degenerate in the coven."

"Hey! I am not!" I shouted behind me.

After a very long and warm shower, I finally felt clean enough to get dressed. Luke didn't really say what the dress code would be, just that it's trendy. I'm not trendy. I'm not a lot of things, but that didn't matter right now.

I ransacked my closet with nothing but a towel wrapped around me, my wet hair dripping onto the shaggy rug at my feet.

"This will do," I said, pulling out a short burgundy dress, the low cut square neck was my favorite part of the dress, along with its simplicity in style. I never did flashy, Iris' dress was the most eye catching thing I've put on my body and I felt uncomfortable the whole time.

I always took pride in the fact that I could be dressed and ready in under an hour, especially with Iris who sometimes forgets and listens to rainforest playlists. I chuckled at the memory, finding her half dressed on the floor meditation to the sound of Puerto Rico Rainforest playlist.

"You look nice," Luna said from the doorway, her blue eyes had a very mother like shine to them, it made me smile in return.

"Thanks." I grabbed some black flats, high heels were not meant for clumsy people.

Luna leaned against the threshold, her long black hair was tied up in a tight ponytail. She was wearing tight black jogging pants and a matching black long sleeve shirt.

"You're going hunting?" I asked already knowing the answer.

"Iris and I may have tracked some vampires, a hundred miles from here. So we'll be out late," She said so calmly, sometimes I envy her ease of the hunt.

"Be careful, please," I said to Luna, I knew they had done it a million times but always worried about them.

Luna chuckled in return, "You, be careful." Her face hardened, "Seriously, everything in my better judgement says to keep you here, but if I plan on letting you become-" She paused. "An adult witch, I have to let you do things on your own."

I just smiled at her.

"And no drinking for you!"

I nodded, I felt sympathetic her though. I knew how hard Luna tried to juggle being the coven leader and my motherly figure,
