Chapter 15: Z

I covered my face with my hands as Zechariah pulled me down to his lap. I am already wet from the pool water and it gets to him. He did not care.

"I have a girlfriend in Manila?" marahas niyang bulong.

He scoffed and I looked down while biting my lower lip. He is cuddling me right now, in front of his cousins— his family. Nasa kandungan niya ako nakaupo. Sa sobrang hiya ko, nagtago lalo ako sa bisig niya.

"Until now, have you been thinking that I had a girlfriend?" daing niya. "Your sisters poisoned your mind."

I could feel his body heat because he is topless and I am only in my swimsuit. Napanguso ako at binaba lalo ang tingin. I only nodded a bit as a response.

He growled angrily. "Baby, how can I have a girlfriend?"

I bit my lower lip.

"Well, you did not say anything..." pabulong kong tugon.

Dumaing ulit siya.

"Baby, you think I have a girlfriend? I have no fucking time for that nonsense. I am too busy thinking about you and making you mine. You are my only girlfriend."

"Everyone thinks you have one." mahina kong tugon. "That Chinese girl you were with in a restaurant and the party before that."

"Huh?"

Inangat niya ang aking tingin, hinawakan ang aking magkabilang pisngi. Wala akong nagawa kundi tumingin sa kanya. My heart is full of happiness and hope.

"Who was it that made my snowflake jealous, huh?" malambing niyang tanong.

"The Chinese girl you went to a restaurant with."

Kumunot ang kanyang noo. "When did this happen, baby?"

Suddenly, I rolled my eyes. Nagulat din ako sa ginawa kaya lang nangyari na. Inirapan ko na siya. Agad akong yumuko sa hiya. Ito ang unang pagkakataon na inirapan ko ang isang tao.

He barked a loud laugh and pressed his lips on my cheek. "Oh, baby. I'm sorry for making you jealous. You are making me hopelessly in love with your eye-roll."

My heart skipped a beat. In love...

"Come on now, snowflake..." halakhak niya habang humalik sa aking ulo habang hinagod ang aking baywang. "Don't be shy around me,"

"Why are you apologizing when you can't even remember?" mahina kong tugon.

"Hmm, I am trying to remember, princess. Can you give me more clues, please?"

"You were waiting for that Chinese girl in the restaurant across where I was standing." tugon ko. "I believe she comes from the Lu Family."

He licked his lower lip, making it extra pinkish. Umiwas ulit ako ng tingin ngunit hinuli niya ang aking magkabilang pisngi. My brows furrowed while looking at him and he looked rather amused, mukhang natatawa.

"My girlfriend is jealous of that?" halakhak niya.

I turned sour. "I thought you did not have a girlfriend."

Umawang ang labi niya. Bigla niya akong inakay patayo. My eyes turned wide and immediately wrapped my arms around his neck— too scared of falling.

Humalakhak siya at inabot ang aking roba. He covered me with it before we left the beachfront without telling the ladies or his cousins.

"Zeke, where are we going?" mahina kong tanong.

"To our room, snowflake. We have a lot to talk about."
