Chapter 22: South Bound

"Are you sleepy now?"

Tumango ako bago humikab ulit. Kinusot ko ang aking mata bago sumandal sa leeg ni Zeke. The women's communal enthusiasm has been depleted to the peak, but the guys are still drinking.

Nakatulog na nga si Amber sa bisig ni Elijah. Pati na si Heart at Divine, kandong na ng kanilang asawa dahil nakatulog na rin. And Eren is already embracing his sleeping wife, Mika, too.

I am immensely grateful for this moment. Nevertheless, I fear that beyond the boundaries of bliss has come with a cost. It is one of the inevitable things but I anticipate that it is unlikely to occur very soon.

"Just sleep, princess. I'll carry you when we go back home." malambing na bulong ni Zeke.

I gave another nod and allowed my worn-out eyes to wander a little. Amara yawned as well and reclined on Ruhan's arms. It was then that I spotted Stella was fast asleep. As well as Sky. Hindi kasi halata. Maddox is quite masculine, the bulkiest of them all, while Sky is as petite as me. Maddox could totally hinder anyone from seeing Sky with his build.

"Ang tagal kasing permahan ni Zeke." si Ruhan patungkol sa kanilang proyekto. "I sent the final blueprint to him already."

"I got busy. I-check ko pagbalik ng Maynila."

"Just send me the details, Zeke. I'll relieve Ruhan's duties while he's on honeymoon."

"For the whole month, Cassius?"

"Nah, Maddox and I will divide the days."

I gulped a bit and tried to find time to whisper to Zeke. Iniinda ko kasi na nauuhaw ako ngunit hindi ako komportable na matulog habang nauuhaw.

"Z, I felt the need for some water." nahihiya kong bulong.

"Oh, okay. Wait."

Gumalaw siya habang nasa kandungan ako at inabot ang isang baso na hindi pa ginagamit. Nagsalin siya ng tubig mula sa pitcher.

"Thank you," I whispered before drinking the water.

He finished the other half of the water before putting it back on the table and hugged me to sleep. Nag-abot ng beer bottle si Rocco sa kanya. Additionally, Rocco and Stella's cousins, the Rodriguez brothers, Leyox and Mason, got here not quite a while ago. They also boarded the yacht.

They stipulated that they were thinking about heading back to Manila anytime soon, but I was too lethargic to hear what they had to say for the rest of the conversation. I woke up in Zeke's arms and in the same cozy bed later that morning.

Amara and Ruhan left for their honeymoon. Sky and Maddox left for Manila with Don Benjamin Buenavista and Doñia Alonsia Buenavista. All the Figueroa Clan left Isla de Vista too. And I know in my heart that Zeke needs to be in Manila too but I couldn't find the exact words to get through him.

"This is your resthouse?" sambit ko habang aliw na aliw aa paligid. "This is beyond beauty."

I can feel his hands sliding from my waist to my stomach, pressing his chest onto my back. I tilted my head to the left as he clung to me. We arrived here not too long ago driving my pink Porsche. I don't know how to maneuver and Zeke didn't mind driving a pink car.

"We don't have an official name to it, baby. But I trust you to do the honor, please?" malambing niyang bulong.

It made me smile. He renewed his hug around me, placing his chin on top of my head. I hugged his arms that wrapped around me like vines.
