Chapter 31: Wait

"Z, there is a matter I must discuss with you first." I softly whispered. "Do we have time for it?"

A sudden halt from his kisses was the first response. "Uh-huh, what is it, baby?"

But then he continued to kiss my lips down to my cheek, jaw, and neck. Zeke inhaled a deep breath and pressed his face on mine before nuzzling it to my skin. I pursed my lips a bit.

"But it requires your undivided attention."

He hugged me tighter. Currently, we are at the private lounge area of the airport, waiting for his flight departure. I could sense his eyes staring at me closely.

"Uh-huh. I am all ears now, snowflake, for you. Later na ang halikan." malambing niyang sabi.

I smiled wide. "Cool. Alright."

"I love you, my wife. Ano ang pag-uusapan natin ngayon?"

"Well, we encountered Mama Kathryne earlier today. Mom was there. And uhm..." I trailed off a bit. "There has been a slight argument and I am quite uncertain that mother is gonna leave it as it is."

Zeke came to be on guard after that. "Did Mama slap her, baby?"

"You knew?"

"Wala namang binabanggit ang agents tungkol sa nangyari kanina pero alam ko na gustong gusto talaga ni Mama na makita ang Mommy mo. Your Mama Kathryne, baby, is very vocal about giving your Mom a slap of the century." kalmado niyang tugon at humalakhak.

Oh. My mouth formed an 'o'.

"Yeah, she did. Mom walked out. Mama Kathryne was remarkably intrepid."

Zeke laughed lightly and buried his chin on my left neck. His arms wrapped around the bottom of my chest.

"Are you worried your Mom is gonna plot something, princess?" malambing niyang tanong.

I nodded. "She is restless for all things."

"Be on guard, okay? Let me know immediately whatever happens. Call me right away. Call your personal agents, too. Call Mama or Papa. Call for help, okay? Please, baby."

Tumango ulit ako. "I will, Z."

I accidentally saw the flight monitor on the wall. My heart dropped. I forgot our conversation and got halted in the actuality that he is going to leave now.

"Oh, your plane is ready for boarding, Z." I started in a decreasing volume of tone. "You'll be boarding in a minute,"

May lumabas na marahas na pag buntong hininga mula sa kanya hudyat ng paglingon ko ulit sa kanya. Minamasahe niya ang kanyang panga ng dalawang beses at walang lakas na binagsak ang mga braso sa aking balikat.

"Samahan mo nalang ako." paos niyang pakiusap. "Ayokong malayo sayo. Tangina. I won't have peace of mind, baby."

"And I don't want to be away from you too, Z." I truthfully replied. "But it doesn't mean I have to stop you from doing your obligations."

Dumaing siya at malutong na nag-mura. "Fuck. Tanginang obligations naman. Nakakainis."

I laughed wholeheartedly. Zeke is having tantrums. It is cute. He is cute. Zechariah is handsomely endearing. I could imagine him being a kid unable to control his stomping and uncontrollable emotions for not getting what he wants.

And the hardest part is watching him walk in reverse towards the direction of the plane. The agents whom I never thought went with us today are slowly gathering behind me. I waved my hand at Zeke with a heavy heart.
