Chapter Two

"Haven." Themarie swipes the glass door of the shower room open and Haven gasped then jolted at that sudden action. She covered herself, barely, with her hands on her breasts and down her feminine area.

Themarie's eyes squinted as she looks at Haven whilst the shower water was still running. It was still seven in the morning, a week day in which both of them will be going to their perspective professions. The water was dripping down her beige skin, flawless and there was some tint of pink in some angles of her body. "Why are you covering them as if I don't suck your nipples and eat you out?" She straight up says to Haven.

Haven's mouth gaped open, finding the words that Themarie said being so provocative and less far away on the side of elegance. Haven shakes her head and slightly turns the frequency of the shower to a slow dropping one. "I'm taking a shower." Haven said simply and looked at Themarie with a slight glare.

Thenarie's eyes squint, not liking Haven's morning attitude."And I have something to say, sweet thing." Themarie's voice was somehow soft but there is a mixture of faint irritation right then and there.

Haven sighs knowing that Themarie can be a pushy person. She will not give Haven a break if she doesn't let the woman speak. She stops the shower and crosses her arms, breasts jiggled and Themarie looks down and she tilts her head. "What do you want to say? Spit it out." Haven says in a rough tone but somehow blushing knowing that Themarie is looking at her chest.

"Good girl." There was a trace of a pleased smile across Themarie's face.

Themarie breathed in first before she spoke. "Now I want us to behave and be civil about this. Mom and Dad invited us. Yves' parents are following my Mom and Dad's suggestion about arranged marriages to strengthen family bond and honor." Haven sums up that statement. Somehow it was almost every rich family's fate to get an arranged marriage for their daughters. Whether the gender as long as there is power and dignity, then so be it. Haven sighed knowing she has to pull up her 'sweet wifey' kind of mood all over Themarie once again. She hated displaying fake affection to Themarie just to prove people how in love they are or to think the media and the people surrounding them label their love as perfect.

She hated when she has to put on a show about what love is like for them and them being the standard of a marriage.

"Poor girl, I hope your cousin doesn't land on someone who acts like you." Haven at least prays that Themarie's cousin won't have the same struggle of married life than hers. Arranged marriages are the most difficult. No love and purely all for family binds only the two. Clearly it was not for the weakest of hearts to do. It was not for those who is serious in love to take such a responsibility of putting her head against the thought of a loving marriage in an arranged marriage.

Themarie lets out a laugh at Haven's comment. "I hope my cousin gets rightful love unlike what we have." Somehow Themarie was a good relative, a daughter and a boss but in terms of love that she doesn't want. She's the most disrespectful.

Haven hummed and looked down."There's no rightful love in arranged marriages unless they learn to love one another overtime." Which was true or so if she lets herself believe it to happen. Their marriage was rocky and fast, they don't even share the same thought of direction in their life.

"Sad to say, that's not us, sweet thing." Themarie smiles at her, somewhat in a sarcastic way making Haven roll her eyes and put the shower on high immediately sprinkling the water more that it reached to Themarie who is just outside the glass door. Themarie chuckles and somehow looked irritated but her facials were in a calm demeanor.
