Chapter Ten
Themarie hissed a little, finding herself in a whole big room full of her relatives, there was a current engagement party for Yves and her fiance. Haven was just alongside her, the younger woman's arms surrounded her arms. It was quite an awkward event but they couldn't help it. They needed to act as if they truly loved one another. They had to be invited of course, Themarie is a well respected family member and they'd never leave her out of events such as like this, and that certain respect relayed to Haven, her wife.
"I wanna go home." Haven said, she's gotten so bored already from standing up and greeting Themarie's family for hours now. She's respectful for sure but somehow being stuck with Themarie was something else of a matter to deal with.
Themarie secretly rolled her eyes and smiled at a relative before she muttered. "You tell me about it, princess. I wanna go home." She answers to Haven.
Haven lets out a sarcastic laugh. "Home? Or your boy toy's house." She aimed for the gut already. These days, their day isn't complete without roasting one another's ego. It was sort of Haven's coping mechanism. She still gets hurt but well, she can't always be vulnerable on her end.
"You hardly ever go home." Haven continued.
Themarie lets out a short laugh before she rolled her eyes."Well, you hardly spend time with me." Themarie copied Haven's dry and sarcastic tone as she smirked at her wife.
"You don't even spend time with me, where'd you get that fucking idea? You're turning romantic now?" Haven sarcastically answered back and they eyes locked onto one another angrily before they plastered a smile at the visitor that approached them.
Themarie's jaw tightened a little hearing a brave response. "Did your pretty little mouth just cursed? Are you that mad I'm this close to you? Or are you excited?" She said in an enticing voice as she leaned her lips onto Haven's ears.
Haven glared at the woman. "I'm mad. Don't assume things, you'll get hurt." Haven moves her hand away from Themarie and crossed her arms. Few glances were on them but looked like they didn't mind such interaction.
Themarie smirked then rolled her eyes at the exaggerated choices of words. "I won't. I'm not like you after all." She muttered and Haven let out a huff before she turned to look at Themarie with an angered expression. Haven was about to say something when Themarie pinched the fat of her arm and she winced before they looked forward to seeing a doll-faced woman in curly hair, Yves. She was with a white blonde hair girl, rings attached around their fingers and Haven had a faint smile seeing Themarie's cousin.
"Hi..." Yves smiled as she looked at Haven before her cousin, Themarie. Yves looked so happy seeing the two couples that it almost crushed Haven's soul seeing such a pure woman have their eyes onto them like a real couple. They faced onto one another, the chandelier was above in the middle of the ceiling of the venue. Gold and lilac colors draped the walls, the curtains and the flowers. It was a very elegant venue, all for the elegant lovers.
"This is my cousin,Themarie and my cousin's wife, Haven." Yves introduced them to her fiance. Themarie just gave a quick nod on her head and Haven bowed her head just a little at the white-blonde woman.
"And everyone." Yves smiled as her hands were around the woman's arm. She had the sweetest small and the tiniest soft giggles. Haven looked at the innocence in front of her. She used to be just like that and she hoped nothing bad would come in between the two.
"This is Jasmine, my fiance and soon to be wife." Yves confidently says to the couple as she smiles brightly before she looks up to Jasmine lovingly. Themarie's eyes narrowed a little and hummed, Haven could sense some bitterness on Themarie's side or a suspicion but Haven just doesn't seem to care.
