Chapter Twenty Four

During the days of the upcoming rehearsals and practices they had simple gatherings in which involves with Themarie and Haven seeing one another. They didn't talked much knowing Halsey was always around Haven. Harlow and Mason would start glaring at Themarie from afar.

"I hope to God none of them gets a role in other shows." Themarie mumbled beneath her breath. Then shaked her head before taking a sip of wine as she talks to some administrators. She was often the highlight to talk to with important persons. Haven was still quite introverted that even if she was well-known she had minimal to no conversations with people like them. Themarie on the other hand is a great talker.

Themarie talked to them quite a lot, no one batted an eye about it that Themarie was being close to them but Themarie in the back of those people's minds are negative ones already.

"Rehearsals will be starting soon." Mason said as she handed Harlow a glass of water. Halsey was sitting on a catch right next to Haven whose social battery seemed to have ran out because she was staying put as of the very moment. It was also night time, she goes to bed quite early but it would seem so bad if Haven just leaves while everyone else is having fun.

"Are you sure about your role, Haven?" Halsey sighed before she looked at the woman beside her. Haven smiled seeing her friends' concerned faces. They knew it was for the best if her and Themarie would have different roles. The pain and scar is still fresh not only in Haven's heart but also Themarie's.

Haven chuckled a little as she nodded her head in response to their concerns. "Yes, you guys don't need to worry about me so much."

"Themarie and I both love to serve music within people's hearts. We were born performers, we'll just have to stick with that professionalism." Haven was optimistic with this. She wanted no negative effect of their on-going plans of divorce to stain their love of music and arts. The industry they have been in for years, they're performing this for themselves and for the audience.

"But still, wouldn't it be awkward?" Harlow squints her eyes a little as she pouted. The other two nodded their heads in agreement making Haven roll her eyes feeling like she's being treated like a baby.

"No, I'm sure Themarie is thinking things out of professionalism. I should think the same." Haven responded to that and she glances at Themarie who is still speaking and drinking wine with the administrators.

"Miss Haven." Cresia, the director, waved her hand to her. Themarie turns to look at her as well, Haven could see the blank stare of the woman. She looked tired but she managed to look unfazed. Themarie nodded her head at her and gestured to her to come near them making Haven's heart thump.

"What now?" Halsey groaned as she turns her stare towards the other table with narrowed eyes, making Haven hit the woman slightly by the shoulder to stop the stingy look.

"Just because she can be close to higher professionals doesn't mean she has to use it to get close to you." Halsey mumbled angrily, Haven only smiled a little not fully taking Halsey's words into her mind though she hated such a bitter gesture. Themarie wasn't even trying to get close to her but Halsey was still talking ill about Themarie.

Mason and Harlow looked at Halsey in a little concerned and cringed expression.

"Let it go, Sissy." Only Harlow had the mightiest guts to say that to her sister.

Haven excused herself to go towards the far table. She was looking behaved and her hands clasped together. When she moved forward there, she was asked to take a seat and she sat next to Cresia. This director was very much a social butterfly. She was close to everyone but casually complained about missing her wife back in the country they live in.
