Chapter Nineteen
Matured content.
Themarie and Haven had first went back to the mansion. They were getting endless messages from their family members about the on-going scandal. Haven was getting inside the mansion. It was already evening when they arrived back at the mansion. Themarie was trying to catch up with Haven as she tried to talk to the woman about the whole scenario.
"Mom, I can't talk right now." Themarie says when she answered her Mom's call. She bit her lower lip hearing her Mother cry and scold her, this was a very stupid situation Themarie could only look up to the stairs and alert herself as she Haven was heading to their bedroom.
"Themarie-" Her Mother's words were cut off as Themarie drops the call and she hurried to follow Haven.
"Haven!" Themarie walked up stairs.
"Haven listen to me!" Themarie called and her voice echoed the entire mansion. The maids and the personnel in the mansion were just minding their business as everything plays out. Haven was about to close the door when Themarie scotched to get inside their bed.
"This has gone too far." Haven said in an angry tone as she looks at Themarie the moment the bedroom door shuts. Haven's face was full of emotions, disgust, hatred, betrayal and hurt itself. It was so tiring for Haven to feel the same pain over and over. She deserved to be away from this toxic environment,
"Listen, this is just a misunderstanding." Themarie panics as she goes towards Haven to fully console the woman and make her understand what was going on. Haven hugged herself as she backed away from Themarie.
"It was Jackson, wasn't it?" Haven asks her. Asking if the one in the picture that was kissing Themarie was Jackson. Themarie froze on her tracks and her eyes widened of how easy Haven had recognized the man.
Themarie nodded her head, she wasn't intending on lying to Haven after all. "Yes but-" Themarie gets cut off when Haven speaks. She knew the woman was angry, Themarie was just in a frantic momentum knowing she couldn't explain because Haven now looked so hurt and tired of this constant thing happening.
"You invited him?" Haven brushed hair back and her eyes reddens, eyes getting glossy as she was slowly about to cry.
Themarie swallowed before she shaked her head and looked at Haven. "Haven listen-" She tries to talk to the woman and reach for her hand but Haven pushed her away. Themarie knew where this was leading and she hated how everything she tried hard to settle to be fine turned out to be getting worse.
"I am so tired." Themarie's eyes widened as she looks at Haven being in tears, her heart dropped seeing the woman cry in front of her for the first time. Haven has never shed a tear in front of her, ever. Haven had such a strong shell of a woman. Though she looked the most fragile she wasn't easy to break but this time.
This time, Themarie knew it was enough.
It was enough.
"I'm so tired of your lies, a-all." Haven swallows as she tries so hard not to let her words fail her as she spoke to Themarie.
"All of this!" Haven shouts as she gets back her will to make her voice heard. She was in tears as she looked at Themarie. All the pent up emotions she had were pouring down into tears and Haven had to touch her face to feel the tears trickling down her cheeks which she found odd knowing she had never shed any tears back before.
"If you would've listened to me then we could fix this." Themarie seemed frustrated that Haven was doing all the taking and she couldn't find the time to tell hers. She wanted to tell it to the woman that everything that happened in that picture were pure lies and just a misunderstanding. It was forced and she wanted Haven to hear her words out.
