The night was deep.
Haven was at the bar with her friends, she was wearing a sequin mini dress in white patterns, hair tied in a sleek bun. She was drinking with Harlow and Mason after they were given a little day off from rehearsals. Halsey wasn't a very strict coach when it comes to her own student's sake and health. Haven was sipping her Martini and meanwhile Harlow and Mason were drowning on their tequila's.
"So? Spill the tea. What's up?" Harlow opens up the conversation and leaned close to Haven.
Haven's brows furrowed as she lets out an amused laugh because of how easily Harlow got wasted. "Huh?" She asked, confused not knowing what this woman is trying to convey.
Mason grunts when Harlow giggled and leaned to her chest before taking away Harlow's drink from her hand and looking at Haven. "Come on. We're not that dumb. Haven, you've been hiding something." Haven smiles fondly at her friends' concern. It has been almost a month now since she's in her depressive life. It was safe to say that Themarie returned after three days but something changed in their routine of course. Themarie never laid her or laid with her, Either Haven comes home early, asleep and Themarie comes home late or Themarie comes home early, asleep and Haven comes home late.
That was the last time she would say her concerns. She's going to bottle it all up again but she's the most thankful having Harlow and Mason as that kind of friends who always shows the deepest concerns about her even in the slightest change of tone and interaction.
Haven brushed it off and she shook her head. "I'm not, you guys are just reading me too much." She said before taking another drink and the two didn't seem to be satisfied with Haven's answer. The two girls looked at one another before raising their brows at Haven.
Harlow's nose scrunched and she shook her head. "Nuh uh. You forget we're friends who know each other from head to toe." Harlow points Haven from her heels to the crown of her head making Haven look back at Mason who is the more mature one to sigh.
"You're telling or we'll make you." Mason spoke and it sounded like a threat to be honest. Mason was that 'kind' of a friend, she may be the youngest among all of them bur Mason was the most mature one in the trio.
Haven almost choked on her drink when she heard Mason getting serious and she waved around her head in surrender before putting down her drink. "Okay, calm down." Haven shrugged and laughed slightly.
Mason and Harlow were on all ears as she scotched close to Haven. "Remember, I got married to Themarie?" She said in a whisper making it sound like a whole secret only the three of them were allowed to hear. Haven remembered how it took Mason and Harlow three months to settle onto the idea that their friend is married to thee 'Themarie Sterling' the skilled musician.
"Oh yeah, I forgot she existed. I mean she never comes to your rehearsals and stage appearances." Harlow mumbled and Mason gave her a slight nudge because of the word and Haven rolled her eyes, amused by the statement. It was true, Themarie was barely present in the milestones of her own wife's life.
"Is she even a wife if she's like that?" Harlow added making Mason and Haven roll their eyes but for some reason Haven agreed with that but in the first place, Themarie is not even an acting wife to Haven. Even in the respectful grounds, it was only selective.
"But yeah, what about her?" Mason comes back to their conversation as she tilts her head a little.
Haven took a deep breath as she finally trusts them to speak her concerns and what was fucking up her mind these days. "Don't tell this to anyone, okay? I trust you two." Haven says in full seriousness.
