Chapter 8

Alex's Pov

"Fuck!"

That's the first word that leaves Luke's mouth. And what a beautiful mouth it is

"Hello to you to Luke. Do you want to come In?" I smile.Loving the effect I have on him right now, even though my nerves are all over the place

"I don't think that's a good idea Alexandra especially looking the way you do."

"Oh come on Luke. It's still early, and I need to put my corsage on."I walk away, leaving him standing there.

Standing at the kitchen nook gives me  some time to calm myself. I'm already on edge even though I might have seemed confident, and Luke's comment is making it harder.To make matters worst he looks so good. Well enough jitters Alex.Just breathe. I pick the corsage up, and I manage  to almost put in on, but I freeze from the touch of Luke's  hands on my skin .He's behind me..again.I try turning, but yet again he holds me still.Why do I feel so weak everytime he touches me?

"Luke." I whisper

"Ssshh baby." He whispers.

He moves my hair to the left revealing my bare shoulder, and the touch of his lips on my bare skin literally sends shivers down my spine.I'm now certain that at this precise  moment I could take this further, even with all my reservations.But. I know that's not a good idea, so I try and interrupt him by speaking.

"Luke please stop. Don't start this now.Were goi...."Oh my gosh.

The feel of his lips on my neck  shocking me to the core.He continues kissing my neck and I let him, basking  in the feeling of sweet pleasure that feels so awesome, however no matter how good this feels we have to stop...now.I didn't get all dressed up for nothing.

"Luke please." I begin, but the feeling of something cold on my skin stops me.What is this?I try touching it, but Lukes voice stops me

"Close your eyes Alex."

"What?"

"Just close your eyes.Trust me baby."

How can I not comply after that.

"Okay."I whisper

"I'm going to lead you baby, just walk okay. I got you."

We take a few steps, and stop

"You can open your eyes now Alexandra."

I do as he says, and I find myself in front of the mirror in the lounge, and I gasp, because around my neck hangs a beautiful gold chain with a pendant.Wow!The colour is so intriguing.Looking at it closer I realise that the pendant is a heart . In a beautiful peridot.The colour of my birthstone.

"Luke its beautiful, and it's my birthstone." I say looking at him through the mirror

"I know Alex." He says studying me through the mirror

I can't help but smile back at him, because this is such a beautiful gift.I also know I can't except such an expensive gift, but what else do I say or do?

"Thank you Luke." I mouth at him, unable  to speak past the lump that has formed in my throat.

He just kisses my cheek in return. However my mind is thinking. How do I return it?I don't want to offend him,but I know I cant except this gift.Firstly because we hardly know each other, and second because it's too expensive.He has to know .Returning it is the right thing to do.I look up at him, and before I say anything he surprises me by turning me around and saying.

"Dont Alex.I know what you're thinking.I can see your mind overthinking.It's your birthday, and people receive gifts on their birthday right .So this is mine to you ."
