Deaths (The Another Victims of
Satan, Lilith and Mammon
Chapter, Part Four)

ROSALINDA

I know they will lure me into a trap, but I didn’t expect them to put my father’s life in danger. Their codenames suit them well—a bunch of demons craving satisfaction by committing wrongdoings. Thinking about them makes me want to rip out their hearts and give them to those who lost pure, innocent lives prematurely.

"Set aside your anger. If you don’t, I’ll leave you here and investigate this useless warehouse."

"Useless?"

"Yeah, this place will lead us to nothing but dust," aniya, saka nagpatuloy sa paglalakad papalayo sa’kin habang nakapamulsa. "Man, I really want to play Resident Evil. I’ve missed a lot lately because of these endless mysteries." If this place is so dangerous, why is he walking around so casually?

Mabilis ko siyang sinundan at nagtanong, "I heard you also threw a bomb under the bridge, right?"

"Yes," malamya niyang tugon.

I grabbed my chin, eyes wide as his words hit me. "Don’t tell me all these new boxes here have bombs inside?"

"You are correct," nakangiti niyang sabi, agad akong nainis. "To be honest, the bombs are quietly ticking now. I believe they have five minutes before they explode—" Bago pa niya matapos, mabilis kong hinawakan ang braso niya at tumakbo patungo sa pinto, hinihila siya.

We have to get out of here.

"We have to get out of here, Doyle!" pabulyaw kong sabi, hawak pa rin ang braso niya.

"Destroy the scanner, then we can go," Doyle said. I looked at the door, but there was no scanner in sight. "I mean the scanner outside. It’s not just a scanner; it controls the door—an access system. If you destroy it, the door might lock tighter, trigger the alarm, and trap us here. But if we’re lucky, it could unlock and give us a chance to escape. It’s a fifty-fifty shot."

I clenched my teeth in anger.

"Makakalabas tayo ng buhay, just trust them."

"How about we sabotage the power source?" I suggested, trying to stay calm.

"We can’t. I checked the power system earlier. The metallic door is locked and needs a special code to open it, not just any code. They created their own unique code for all the doors here. I tried to find a copy, but there’s nothing."

All rooms? So, we can’t manipulate the access control signals remotely. They must have secured the system to prevent tampering. We don’t have a hacking device, and the control system is in a secure area.

Our only option is to physically disable the door’s access control system. We have to trust the team; if they have a hacking device, great, but it might take too long. They could also try to intercept or redirect the system’s signal, though I’m not sure how long that would take. Thankfully, if this scanner also controls just this door’s lock, then we still have a real chance to escape.
