The sound of music coming from downstairs awakened Asha's slumber, making her roll over and check the time on her iPhone. She realized it was just a little after 10 in the morning. As she sat up in bed, a soft wince left her lips, feeling that dull soreness still evident down below between her legs. An infectious, sleepy smile grew on her face, remembering the magical night she shared with Dice. Asha's head was still grappling with the fact that she had become an official woman the previous night. Even though she had never thought she'd lose her virginity before marriage, she couldn't help but reflect on how Dice had made her feel the entire night leading up to the act itself. Something extraordinary took place for her as she gave herself to him last night. Something she couldn't put into words.

She got out of bed carefully, still wincing as the ache increased with each movement. She grabbed her phone from the nightstand and noticed five missed calls and several back-to-back texts from Luisa, urging her to call as soon as she woke up. Luisa had seen the photos Asha sent of her date with Dice and was quite excited to hear all about it. Asha, too, was eager to share everything that happened, including the fact that she had made love for the first time.

However, she couldn't help but wonder if she had made the right choice, considering it was so soon. After all, she had only known Dice for a short amount of time. But then she remembered her conversation with Emerald, which helped alleviate her doubts. Emerald had shared her experience of finding that special someone to give herself to, and Asha realized that she felt all those emotions last night. The warmth inside her, the comfort, the trust, and the excitement - all of it. It was a magical night; she knew she wanted to feel that way over and over again. Asha opened her bedroom door, the muffled music becoming prominent downstairs. She could smell the freshly cooked bacon's aroma dancing throughout the house as she heard the clanking of pots and dishes.

Right on cue, her stomach grumbled, signaling she needed to put something in it as much as she wanted to get on the phone with Luisa and dish about the previous night's activities. She needed some food. So she made her way downstairs sleepily, rubbing her eyes. She walked down each step carefully, trying not to wince with every step she took. Out of all the things she learned about sex, be it from Luisa or reading. No one prepared her for the aftercare and what to do when sore. She silently prayed the dull pain would subside in time for work that evening because she couldn't imagine walking back and forth all night in pain. When Asha rounded the corner to the kitchen she saw Ezra nodding his head to the song that was playing while he flipped a pancake, doing a very offbeat dance.
