Revelation - Part 3

Rose's pov

I had reached the pool, placing my book on the bed I get pushed. Falling into the pool. Deeper and deeper, I don't know how to get up to the surface. Just as my eye are closing I hear shouting and a splash I feel a pair of arms wrap round me pulling me up.

Everything sounds muffled no clear voices 

Buckys pov

As soon as I see Rose fall into the pool and not come up I drop the towels running to the pool, I'm scared and worried.

'DOLL!!!' I shout jumping into the pool as I swim to the bottom I see Rose, her eyes are closed and she's not moving. Panic setting in I wrap my arms around her swimming to the surface of the pool.

'Pass her here buck' Steve tells me standing at the edge with his arms out, I pass him Rose and as I climb out I watch as he lays her on the sunbed, 'what happened?' Clint ask running to her side. 'I don't know' I say looking down, I feel like I've let her down. 'Bucky' a voice says, I don't respond still looking down 'James look at me' I feel a hand on my shoulder, looking up I see clint 'it's not your fault' he says 'you got her out' he continues he pulls me into a hug.

Coughing gets our attention, turning we see Rose laying, hearing her groans i rush to her side, 'doll?' I ask stroking her head 'doll I'm here' I say softly. 'Jamie?' Her quiet voice asks 'I'm here doll' I reply softly, her blue eyes slowly open looking at me 'there's my beautiful girl' I smile at her.

I feel her reaching up touching my cheek 'Jamie' she says quietly, 'hey doll' I reply. I can tell she's not fully with it at the moment, it's like as we are in our own bubble. I know I need to get Bruce to check her over, 'doll? Can Bruce check your okay?' I ask 'yeah' she nods quietly. Picking her up I carry her to the lab where Bruce is working.

'Bucky?' He asks turning to face me from his computer screens, 'can you check Rose over?' I ask 'she fell into the pool and down to the bottom, I had to jump in to get her out' I inform him, 'sure place her on the bed please' he asks. As I do so Rose grabs onto my arm 'stay' she says quietly looking at me 'of course doll' I reply holding her hand, stroking her hair smiling at her.

'She needs to rest' Bruce says 'you need to ask clint if she can swim, if you had jumped in to get her out she might not know how to' he informs me. I pick up Rose carrying her outside when Steve sees me coming he pushes two sunbeds together.

'Here pal' he smiles at me 'thanks steve' I smile back, with Rose still in my arms I lean back on the sunbed, stroking her hair I whisper to her letting her know she was safe, I begin to drift off to sleep stiring slightly when I feel someone laying something on me, opening my eye I see clint smiling before falling back to sleep.

Clints pov

I watch as Bucky jumps into water pull out Rose, he passes her over to Steve who then carries her over to a sun bed laying her down, he crouches by her. I run to her side asking what happened.

'what happened?' I ask running to her side. 'I don't know' bucky says ay looking down. 'Bucky' I say, he doesnt respond still looking down 'James look at me' I place a hand on his shoulder, looking up at me I smile gently 'it's not your fault' i tell him 'you got her out' i continues pulling him  into a hug.

When Rose calls out for him he rushes over, I stand back watching as he reasures her, I can't belive I forgot she hadn't learnt to swim before she was taken, after a while Bucky picks up Rose carrying her inside. Then after what felt like forever he comes back out with her in his arms, Steve pushes two of the beds together.

Laying down Bucky strokes her hair whispering to him, when I see him falling asleep I grab a blanket laying it over them both, when he opens his eyes I smile before watching his eyes close again.

'He cares so much for her' Steve says as I stand by him 'he does, he told me many times that when he first met Rose he knew that he needed to keep her safe'  I reply 'they look so peaceful' I smile.
