Rose's Birthday

Although Rose and I have been together since we met in Hydra, I never knew what her birthday was. I was sat on the balcony looking out. Nat and Wanda had taken Rose out shopping, she was very reluctant 'I don't want to leave Jamie' she says 'I also don't have any money' she says 'doll, you will be okay, nat and Wanda will keep you safe' I tell her holding her close kissing her forehead. 'Here' I say passing her one of my cards 'I can't take this' she says 'yes you can doll, treat yourself' I say 'Jamie' Rose says 'its okay doll' I say hugging her. 'This is your money' she says 'I'll go get a job then I might go shopping' she says. 'I have more than enough for us both, let me treat you' I say 'I promised I would look after you' I add. Rose looks up at me 'okay, thank you Jamie' she says 'I love you' she adds 'I love you too doll' I reply.

'Everything okay pal?' I look to see steve and Clint stood on the balcony 'yeah, just thinking' I reply 'I just don't know When Rose's birthday is. It was never known in hyrda' I add. 'Oh Bucky' clint says 'I'm sorry I never told you' he adds 'it's okay Clint, you didn't know' I reply smiling at him. 'It's just that I wanted to do something special for her as she hasn't had a birthday since she was 6' I add. 'Her birthday is 9th april' clint tells me.

Its been a month since we found Rose, so much has happened. Rose and I met laura and we had our 1st date. Her birthday is next week. 'Clint, I have an idea for Rose's birthday' I say 'I was thinking I could take her out for the day, then in the evening suprise her with a meal with you Laura, Steve and Nat' I suggest. 'That's a good idea, she would it.' Clint smiles.

'Would you like to stay the night?' I ask Rose as we cuddle on the sofa in the communal lounge. 'I'd like that Jamie' Rose smiles. 'Night all' I smile, 'night Papa' Rose smile going over to hug clint  'night Rosie, sleep well' he smiles 'night Stevie' Rose smiles going to hug him 'night Rose' Steve smiles, 'now don't you two stay up all night' Steve smiles 'we won't' Rose and I say in unison.

'I'll be in once I've changed' Rose says passing before walking to her door, 'doll you can wear one of my tees' I offer 'thanks Jamie' Rose smiles. We walk into my room getting changed for bed, I'm the first ready so I sit in bed ready for Rose.

'Come here doll' I smile as she walks out of the bathroom. Rose climbs into bed next to me 'I love you so much doll' I smile 'it makes me so happy that we both got out' I add holding her in my arms 'I love you too James. Thank you for saving me' Rose smile up at me 'ill always safe you doll, you are my world' I say kissing her for head 'and you are mine' Rose replies. 'Let's get some sleep' I smile, Rose lays her head on my chest with her hand on my chest, I gently stroke her hair with my hand as we both fall into a peaceful sleep.

I'm the first to wake, Rose is still sleeping peacefully in my arms. She looks so beautiful, I'm truly in love with her, she is and always will be my world, my girl. I hope she has an amazing day, she deserves to be spoiled. I got her a few gifts, the first is some flowers which I ordered which will be arriving later, a photo of us both which Clint took and a few clothes that I know she likes wearing. We also have the meal out later with Clint, Laura, steve and Nat.

'Morning jamie' Rose smiles looking up at me, 'morning doll' I smile 'Happy Birthday Doll' I smile leaning in kissing her 'it's my birthday?' Rose asks 'it is doll' I smile. 'I have something for you' I smile. Reach toward my bedside table I pick up the card and photo 'this is for you' I smile.

Rose's pov

Waking up in James' arms is the best feeling 'morning Jamie' I smile looking up at him. 'Morning doll' he smiles 'happy birthday Doll' James smiles 'its my birthday?' I ask 'it is doll' James smiles. 'I have something for you' James says reaching towards his bedside table. 'This is for you' he smiles passing me a wrapped parcel and envelope. I open the envelope to reveal a card, opening it I begin to read.
