Party for 2

Buckys pov.

Christmas is fast approaching, last week Rose and I decorated our livingroom, it's looking so festive. We already have a few presents under the tree, I had been shopping with Rose to get presents for Clint, Laura and the kids which are wrapped and placed in gift bags by the tree. I had been shopping with Steve to get Rose's presents which are currently hidden in Steve's room waiting for me to wrap.

Also last week Rose suprised me with my old copy of the hobbit I had growing up as well as my old vinyl record player which we have been listening to some vinyls we had borrowed of Steve till we get our own ones. I've enjoyed dancing with Rose in the evenings to them. Another thing Rose suprised me with was a box which also had things from when I was younger. Steve and I have spent  nights telling Rose stories behind the photos with a vinyl playing. 'You looked handsome back then' Rose smiles 'he was. Buck was such a ladies man always flirting' Steve laughs 'I'm a one dame man now.' James smiles 'and your the only dame for me' he leans in kissing me.

This evening everyone was chilling in the communal living space, Rose was sat talking with Wanda and Nat whilst I was playing pool with Steve and Sam. 'Guys!' Tony calls, everyone turns to him 'this Friday I'm hosting a Christmas party here' he says 'everyone is to attend' he adds. I groan and roll my eyes, at the best of times Rose and I don't always enjoy the parties Tony throws especially if it's with a bunch of people we don't know or feel comfortable with.

I see Rose look over to me, I smile slightly, 'talk later' I mouth and Rose nods in return before turning back to carry on chatting with Nat and Wanda.

Rose's pov

After hearing Tony announce the party I groanned 'it will be okay' Wanda says 'you and Bucky can always do what you normally do when Stark throws a big party' Nat smiles. I turn to face James who smiles and mouths 'talk later' I nod back before turning back to carry on chatting with Nat and Wanda.

'We need to go dress shopping' Wanda says 'really?' I ask 'I don't wear dresses often' I reply 'well let's get something to wow bucky' nay smiles nudging me. 'Okay, nothing too fancy' I reply 'something simple, that I can wear everyday' I add 'no Rose you need something to wear on special occasions, you never know when you might need it' Wanda smiles 'fine' I groan. 'I'm going to get a drink' I say standing up walking to the kitchen.

I lean against the counter when a pair of arms snake round my waist. Spinning me around I see James smiling at me, 'everything okay doll?' He asks 'I don't know' I reply looking down. James gently lifts my chin, 'what's wrong doll?' He asks 'Nat and Wanda want to take me dress shopping' I confess 'also I'm not sure about the party' I add.

'I'd love to see you in a fancy dress doll' James smiles 'then I can dance with you' he smiles 'we do dance James' I say 'I'm trying to be romantic doll' he replies 'I'm sorry' I reply leaning my head against his chest. 'Doll?' He asks 'is it to do with the leg? You don't want it on show?' He asks. I nod my head 'oh doll' he replies hugging me kissing the top of my head 'I'm sure there will be a dress that won't show your leg, if you tell them your concerns they can help, you could wear tights if you want' James suggests. 'I'm happy with whatever you are comfortable in' he smiles as I look up at him.

'With regards to the party, we can go for a bit but if it gets too much we can alway head back to our space for a party for 2' he smiles. 'You are romantic James' I smile. 'Only for you doll. Only for you' he smiles leaning in to kiss me.

We walk back to the others after getting a drink, 'everything okay?' Nat asks 'yeah' I reply nodding my head, I tell them about my concerns 'I don't want it on show' I tell them. 'That's okay Rose, we can find one that doesn't also We can find some tights for you which you can wear.' Wanda says.
