Christmas with the Bartons - part 1

Clints pov

'Morning Rose I smile 'Morning Papa' she smiles 'I'm going to see mama this weekend' I say 'would you like to join me?' I asks 'thanks for the offer papa but I think I'll stay here, so I can revise' Rose tells me 'that's okay Rosie, we can alway video call.' I offer 'I'd like that'

'Morning doll' Bucky says standing behind Rose wrapping his arms around her waist. 'Morning Jamie' Rose smiles leaning back in his arms. 'I was just telling Rose that I'm of to see Laura at the weekend' I tell him 'tell her I say hello, I think I'm going to stay here and help Rose with her revision for her tests next week' bucky smiles.

At  The Barton Home

'Hey love' I smile hugging Laura after walking inside 'hey clint' she smiles 'where Rose and Bucky?' She asks 'they are staying back at the compound, Rose is revising for her tests next week' I reply. 'Dad!' I turn to see Cooper Lila running to me 'hi Cooper hi lila' I smile hugging them 'where Rose and Bucky?' Cooper asks 'are they here?' Lila asks me 'they are not here this weekend, Rose is revising for some tests next week and Bucky is helping her' I reply 'aw I miss them' Lila says 'they miss you both too' i smile.

'Clint?' Laura asks as we lay in bed 'do you know what Rose and Bucky are doing for Christmas?' She asks me 'I'm not sure' I reply 'they've decorated their livingroom. It looks so good.' I reply 'why don't they come and spend Christmas with us?' Laura suggest 'then we can all celebrate as a family, especially seeing as it's Rose's first since she was a child' she adds. 'That's a good idea, we can video call them and ask' I smile.

'Hi Papa, Hi Mama' Rose smiles as she sits on the sofa with Bucky 'hi clint hi Laura' bucky smiles 'how are you both? Laura asks 'we doing well, arnt we doll' bucky smiles kissing the side of Rose head 'we okay, I'm busy revising for the tests next week' Rose tells us. 'Cooper and Lila miss you' I say 'we miss them too' rose smiles. 'I'll have to call them sometime' Rose smiles. 

'Rose, Bucky. We were wondering if you'd like to join us for Christmas?' Laura asks. Rose and Bucky look at each other, smiling they turn back to face us 'we'd like that' Rose smiles. 'I'll probably be coming here on the 23rd, and going back to the compound on the 28th, as tonys hosting his annual New year's party' I say 'are you going Mama?' Rose asks 'maybe' Laura says 'if you do Cooper, Lila and Nate could always join us for a mini New year's party' bucky offers 'are you sure? Won't you be at the party?' Laura asks 'when Tony throws his big party's we normally do something in our room as we don't enjoy big crowded events, especially with people we don't know' bucky says.

'Dad' lila and cooper shouts just as I'm about to leave to head back to the compound, 'can you give this to Rose and Bucky please' cooper asks 'of course I will' I smile 'not long till Christmas' I add 'I'm excited, are you coming papa?' Lila asks 'of course Lil, I wouldn't want to miss Christmas with my family' I reply 'what about Rose and Bucky?' Cooper asks 'where will they spend Christmas?' He adds 'I'm not sure coop,' I reply.  'When will you be back Dad?' Lila asks 'I'll be back in time for Christmas' I smile. 'Well miss you' both Lila and Cooper say hugging me, 'ill miss you too' I reply hugging them back. 'We can always video call' I offer 'with Rose and Bucky?' They ask hopefully 'we will see, Remember Rose has tests this week, so she might be revising or sleeping' I smile.

After saying one more goodbye I head back to the jet flying back to the compound. As i head up to my room I pass by Rose and Buckys livingroom. I spot them curled up on the sofa as they have the door propped open. Bucky gently kisses Rose's head as he rubs her arm. Walking into my room I drop my bags in sending a message to Laura letting her know I'm back safe.

I hear talking from Rose and Buckys room, leaving mine I walk over to see them. 'Hey'
Guys' I smile 'papa!' Rose shouts running over to me 'how was Mama, Cooper, Lila and Nate?' She asks 'they are all well Cooper and Lila gave me something for you two' I smile. 'Would you like a drink Clint?' Bucky shouts 'yes please' I reply

Sitting down in one of the arm chairs bucky brings over a tray of drinks and a plate with some biscuits on. 'Here you are Clint' bucky smiles 'help yourself to the biscuits papa' Rose smiles. 'Here love' Bucky smiles passing Rose her drink as he wraps his arm around her. Leaning forward I pick up a biscuit 'this is delicious' I smile 'thanks papa' Rose smiles, 'rose had been baking at the yesterday' bucky says. 'Rose baked so many with Wanda they put most of them in a tin so we could have them up here.' He adds smiling.

'How was your weekend Clint?' He asks 'it was good. Cooper and Lila asked if you were you were going to spend Christmas' I reply 'I told them we don't know yet' i add 'we thought it would be a good suprise'. Reaching for the gift Cooper and Lila had for Rose and Bucky 'this is for you from Cooper and Lila' I say passing it to them.

Rose's pov

Papa passed James and I a gift from Cooper and Lila. There's a card too. We open the card

'To Rose and Bucky

Wishing you both a merry Christmas. We hope you both have a wonderful day.

I pass James the gift to open 'you open it Jamie' I smile 'are you sure?' He asks 'I am' I smile. I watch James open the present, inside was a framed picture of James and I with Cooper, Lila and Nate. There was also a bauble with the picture in too. 'That's so sweet of them' James smiles  'I agree James. They love you Jamie' I smile. It makes me so happy that my family accept James. 'lets hang the bauble Doll' James smiles, 'where should we put it?' I ask 'Why don't we put it near to the one of us at the front?' James suggests, 'That's a great idea Jamie' I smile, 'Here Doll' James smiles passing me the bauble. I hand the bauble just below the one of James and myself so that Lila, Cooper and Nate would be able to see it on the tree. 

'You hang the picture Jamie' I smile. 'You sure Doll?' he asks, ' I am' I smile, I sit back on the sofa watching as James hangs the picture on the wall with the others of our family. There are pictures of just Bucky and I, ones of Steve and Bucky which Steve gave us copies of, Pictures of Papa, Mama and I when I was younger. 'Looking good ey Doll' James smiles sitting beside me. 'Its perfect' I smile resting my head on his shoulder.
