1st Date

Buckys pov

I was in the training room with Clint, 'clint could I, urm ask you something?' I ask 'of courses you can' he replies 'could I ask Rose out for a date, I really love her and would do anything for her' I say 'you can Bucky, I can tell how much you care for her' he replies. 'What are you thinking of?' Clint asks me, 'a picnic in the garden down the lake' I reply.

Later I was sat with Rose on the balcony 'would you like to go on a date with me?' I ask Rose. Rose looks at me 'no worries if you dont' I add, Rose grabs hold of my hands 'James' she says 'I I' she says before running, I wanted to go after her but decided to give her space, I didn't mean to upset her.

Rose's pov

James and I were sat on the balcony 'would you like to go on a date with me?' He asks, I look at him 'no worries if you dont' he adds. I grab hold of his hands, 'James' I say 'I I' I add. I don't know what a date is, he looks at me, I begin to panic. I let go of his hands 'sorry' I say before running.

Steve's pov

I was coming back from the gym when Rose comes running head first into my chest, 'I'm sorry sir, please don't punish me I'm sorry' she says crying 'Rose, it's Steve. Your safe' I say. Rose looks up at me 'friend?' She asks 'friend' I reply smiling. Rose throws her arms around me crying 'what's wrong?' I ask 'James' she cries.

I guide her over to the sofa 'what's wrong with James?' I ask her, as we sit on the sofa with my arm around her 'he asked me to go on a date with him' she says crying 'what is a date?' She asks 'oh rose' I say. I can see Buckys reflection on the TV screen, 'a date is where two people who love each other go out. It can be anything' I say, Rose moves so her heads on my lap and she looks up at me 'like you and Natty?' She asks 'just like me and Natty' I reply smiling.

'How do you feel about James?' I ask 'I love him, he makes me feel safe, he looks out for me' she replies 'he probably hates me' she says crying.

Buckys pov

I head downstairs to talk to Steve, on entering the living area I see Steve on the sofa talking to Rose. 'How do you feel about James?' He asks 'I love him, he makes me feel safe, he looks out for me' she replies 'he probably hates me' she says crying. I move round and kneel in front of her 'I don't hate you doll' I say softly 'you don't?' She replies facing me 'oh doll I love you' I say 'I'm sorry I didn't say what a date is' I add 'oh Jamie' she replies reaching her hand to my cheek.

Rose reaches over to me wrapping her arms around me 'I've loved you since the first day we met' I say wrapping my arms around her. 'We can just do something here, you can wear what ever you are comfortable in' I say 'yes' Rose replies looking at me, 'I'd love to go on a date with you jamie' she says smiling. 'I love you James' rose says 'I love you too doll'  reply leaning in kissing her gently. 'You are my world doll, I'll love you forever' .

Pulling Rose into my arms Steve smiles at me 'ill give you two space' he whispers before leaving the room, I sit on the sofa with Rose in my arms. 'Jamie?' Rose says looking up at me 'yeah doll' I reply smiling back at her 'I'm scared' she says 'why are you scared?' I ask 'I'm scared they will get me and I'll forget you' she replies resting her head on my chest 'aw doll, all will be okay, if they did get you I would get you back' I reply rubbing her arm 'everyone here would help too' I add.

'I'm also scared of the nightmares' rose tells me 'I'm always here for you, same with papa and Steve' I tell her.

A few days later, tomorrow is our 1st date. I'm heading to the shops with Steve whilst Clint and Rose spend some time together. 'So what are you planning on getting for food?' Steve asks as I push the trolley 'normal picnic food?' I say question my self as I'm not sure that's a real thing, 'some fruit, juice to drink' I say, 'I need a picnic blanket, basket and plates and cups' I add as we walk the ailes. 'Would this work?' I turn to see steve holding a basket, looking at it there's everything I need for the picnic, bar the food of course. 'It's perfect, Stevie' I smile taking it off him placing it into the trolley.  We continue walking round getting all of the food 'I can help with setting up if you'd like?' Steve offers 'I'd like that thanks'  I reply smiling.

Day of the date

Rose's pov

I woke up to the sound of knocking, 'Come in' I answer sitting up, I watch as James walks in smiling 'morning doll, I made you breakfast' he smile. 'Thank you James, it looks delicious' I smile sitting up in bed, 'Come join me' I smile patting the space beside me 'always doll' James smiles. James walks over placing the tray in front of me before walking round to the other side sitting beside me.

'Thank you Jamie' I smile at him, I begin to eat 'would you like some?' I ask 'sure' he smiles reaching picking a piece of bacon off the plate. 'What time is our date?' I ask 'is 1 okay?' James ask me 'it's okay for me' I smile up at him.

Buckys pov

After suprising Rose with breakfast in bed I began preparing the picnic, 'need help buck?' I look to see steve entering the kitchen as I'm preparing some fruit and veg. 'Yes please steve' I smile. In no time everything is prepared and in the basket.

'Just need to set it up and get ready' I tell steve 'if you want I can keep an eye on it all whilst you get ready' Steve offers 'I'd like that thanks steve' I smile. We walk down by the lake setting up under a tree laying down the blanket I place the picnic basket down. 'Time to get ready' I smile 'best of luck pal' Steve smiles placing a hand on my shoulder.

Rose's pov

I was nearly ready for my date with James. I'm nervous and scared, there's a knock at my door 'who is it?' I ask 'it's papa' 'come on in papa' I reply. Papa walks in closing the door being him 'how are you feeling Rosie?' Papa asks 'I'm nervous and scared' I say turning to face papa 'why are you scared?' Papa asks 'I'm scared something will go wrong, I don't know what to expect or do' I tell papa 'nothing will go wrong, James loves you so much, he came and asked me for permission to take you on a date' papa tells me 'really?' I ask 'he did' papa smile. 'I can tell how much James loves you. How much he cares for you and want to keep you safe' papa smiles 'thank you papa' I smile 'it okay Rosie' papa smile 'I love you'  papa says pulling me into a hug 'love you too papa' I reply hugging him.

Soon there's anouther knock, I walk to my door to open it. I see James stood there with a bunch of flowers 'for you doll' he smiles passing them to me 'they look beautiful Jamie, thank you' I smile at him, 'ill put those in water for you' papa says 'thanks papa' I smile. 'Ready doll?' James asks 'I am' I smile. James offers me his arm before he leads me downstairs.

'You look beautiful doll' James smiles at me 'and you look handsome Jamie' I smile back at him. Leading me outside and towards the lake I see a blanket set up. 'Here we are doll' he smiles turning to face me, 'Lets sit down' he adds. We sit down, James moves a basket in front of us 'I thought we could have a picnic' James says 'I love it' I smile at him resting my head on his shoulder.

James open the basket and begins lifting out all difftent types of food and some juice, 'this looks delicious Jamie' I say 'thanks doll, enjoy' James smiles. The date went really well and I enjoyed it.

Buckys pov

Rose and I are now up my room cuddling on my bed, I have my arm around her gently moving my fingers up and down her arm. 'Thank you for the amazing date Jamie' Rose smiles up at me 'that's okay doll, I'm happy you enjoyed it' I smile. I lean down to kiss the top of her head 'I love you so much doll' I tell her 'I love you to Jamie, I'm so greatful that I have you in my life' Rose tells me.

I hear Rose yawn 'want to stay the night?' I offer smiling 'I'd like that' Rose smile. I walk into my wardrobe pulling out one of my tee and shorts 'here you are doll' I smile passing them to her 'you can change in the ...' I began stopping when I saw Rose already undressing. I turn away from her to give her some privacy 'James? Why are you facing the other way?' I hear Rose asks me 'I'm giving you some privacy' I tell her 'but you've seen me naked before' Rose says 'I know, I'm being a gentleman' I reply.  'Come Here James' Rose says. I turn to face her to see she has the tee on. 'You look beautiful' I smile wrapping my arms around her.

We both climb into bed, I hold my arms out for Rose, she lays her head on my chest with her right hand also on my chest. I wrap my right arm around her pulling her close 'I love you James' Rose says quietly, 'I love you too doll' i reply kissing the top of her head. I hear her falling asleep and I soon follow, 'sleep well doll'
