The Leg

Rose's pov

I have been with James, papa, stevie and Nat for two months now. I wake up from nightmares and flashbacks every night, I'm still trying to get used to where I am.  This past week oddly hadn't had any nightmares or flash backs until tonight. I went on a walk outside by the lake at the compound with James, Steve and Papa. 'How are you feeling?' Papa asks me as we walk side by side, Steve and James are ahead of us giving us some space, 'I'm not sure papa, it's like all of my senses seem off. Thing get confusing' I tell him 'you know you can always talk to me if you want' papa says caringly 'thanks papa' I smile at him 'its strange really' I say 'what's strange?'  He asks 'this pass week I haven't had any nightmares' I tell him 'wouldn't having a peaceful night where you don't have nightmares be good?' He asks 'I guess but I've always had them, even in hydra. Sometimes James helps me through them, sometimes it was Winter. After we tried to escape they got worse and there was no one to help' I confess, 'your not alone now Rosie, you have James, Steve and myself. You know you can come into my room at night if you need me' papa says 'I do papa, I am greatful'.

'Ahhh Winter!' I feel myself falling hitting the ground hard, 'doll!' James shouts, I see his feet as they run towards me 'doll what happened?' He asks 'I don't know, I just fell' I cry, 'it hurts' I continue to cry 'let's get you up to bed' James says picking me up carrying me to my room. 'Try and get some rest doll' he tells me kissing my forehead 'I love you doll' he says 'love you too Jamie' I reply as he pulls the covers over me as I drift of to sleep.

Buckys pov

We were on a walk outside with Steve and Clint, Rose was talking to Clint behind us. I suddenly her her scream 'Ahh winter' turning round I see her on the floor in tears. She said she didn't know what happened, that she just fell. But she also said it hurt. I carried her upstairs to her room so she could rest, turning back as I walked out of her door I saw that she was asleep.

'How is she?' Clint asks as I join them in the living room, 'sleeping' I reply 'I'm worried' I say flopping down on the sofa 'i feel like she's closing off to me' I say leaning back looking up, 'give her space, let her come to you' Steve says.

'Ahhhhh' a scream is heard 'WINTER!' Rose! I jump up from the sofa running up to Rose's room, pushing the door open I find her thrashing about 'winter! Winter!' She shouts. 'Doll' I shout rushing to her bed, sitting by her on the bed I hold her hand 'doll I'm here' I say softly 'winter the mission' she says.

Oh, i remember, tomorrow is the day, the day everything changed. 'Doll your safe, I'm safe we are both safe' I say softly. Rose soon calms down falling back into a peaceful sleep. 

Walking out of the room I go to leave the compound, I pass Steve and Clint in the living room 'bucky?' They ask I ignore them jumping onto my motorbike speeding away from the compound, I arrive at the beach. Walking along the beach I try to find peace but its hard.

Rose pov

The mission that changed my life, the mission James and I hate. I hear James talking to me but I'm locked in the nightmare replaying over and over again constantly.

Waking up I find myself in my room, the sun is shining. I climb out of bed walking to James room, 'James?' I ask knocking on the door. Silence. Opening the door, I find the beds empty and hasn't been slept in, I walk round the compound and I can't find him. Looking in the garage I find his bikes gone.

Leaving the compound I head to a place James told me about. Walking along the streets till I reach the beach. 'Come on James where are you' I call out. I see a figure in black laying in the sand 'James!' I shout running over, 'oh Jamie' I cry laying down on the sand beside him with my head on his chest 'I'm sorry Jamie' I cry.
