Christmas with the Barton's pt 3

 Christmas Day

Bucky's Pov

Christmas Morning. Rose is sleeping peacefully in my arms, It made me smile seeing how happy she was yesterday, I'm looking forward to spending today and tomorrow with Clint, Laura, Cooper, Lila and Nate. I feel Rose beginning to wake up in my arms, I softly kiss the top of her head as I move my hand up and down her arm. 'Morning Jamie' Rose says looking up at me 'morning Doll' I smile, 'Merry Christmas Jamie' Rose smiles, 'Merry Christmas Doll' I smile leaning in to kiss her gently.

'This is for you' Rose says passing me an envelope as we lay in bed, 'Oh Doll' I say softly kissing the side of her head, opening the envelope i find a card which has a picture of us in front of our tree.

'To my dear Jamie,

wishing you a merry Christmas. I am looking forward to spending this Christmas with you and I hope we can share many more,

'It's beautiful Doll, Thank you' I smile kissing the side of her head, 'This is for you' Rose says passing me a wrapped gift. On opening it I find a copy of a book I had been wanting to get, 'How did you know?' I ask 'Steve mentioned it to me when we went shopping. He told me you wanted to get a copy as it was one of your favourite book growing up' Rose says, 'Thank you Doll' I smile kissing her gently, 'Have a look inside James' Rose smiles. I open the cover to see a book token, 'Doll' I say softly, 'I wanted to be able to give you something so you can get some more books that you would like' Rose says, 'Its perfect Doll' I smile.

Reaching to my bedside table I open the draw lifting out the card for Rose and a small gift, 'Doll' I say softly, 'This is for you' I smile passing them both to her. Rose opens the card first.

'My Doll,

I feel so blessed to be able to share this Christmas with you and your family. You mean the world to me, since being reunited you have made my life so much better and I love you so much.

Merry Christmas Doll, Here's to many more to come.

'Thank you James' Rose smiles at me resting her head on my shoulder, 'Your so welcome Doll, I love you so much and I will keep showing and telling you that' I smile kissing the top of her head. 'Open your gift Doll' I smile. Rose opens the gift to reveal heart locket inside a picture of us both, 'I love it James' Rose smiles, 'Can you put it on me?' She asks 'Of course Doll' I smile, taking the necklace placing it round her neck. 'Merry Christmas Rose' I smile, 'Merry Christmas James' Rose smiles back.

Rose leans back in my arms, the door to our room suddenly open and Lila and Cooper come running in jumping on our bed. 'Rose! Bucky!' they both shout 'Santa's been' they smile. 'Come see' Cooper says as he reaches for Rose's hand as Lila does the same for me, 'Why don't you take Rose and I will join you out there?' I suggest. I watch as Lila and Cooper lead Rose out of our bedroom into the living room where the tree is lit with presents underneath and stocking were on the sofas.

'Coffee Bucky?' Clint asks from the kitchen, 'Yes please Clint' I smile. I move to sit on the sofa beside Rose, 'It looks so magical' Rose smiles looking up at me, 'It does' I smile, 'Merry Christmas Doll' I smile wrapping my right arm around her kissing the side of her head. 'Merry Christmas Jamie' rose smiles leaning into me, 'Merry Christmas papa' Rose smiles.  

'can we open our stockings papa?' Lila asks sitting on the floor with Cooper, 'just wait to mama' he smiles, soon Laura joins us, 'right im here, cooper will you give Rose and Bucky their stockings please' she asks, 'i get one?' I ask, 'of course bucky your family' Clint smiles. Rose and I open our stockings, inside was some chocolate, a puzzle book, a game, some socks.  'what have you got doll?' i ask smiling, 'some books, puzzle book, colouring book pencils, chocolate, some socks and a card game' Rose smiles showing me, 'wow you are lucky doll' I smile wrapping my arm around her kissing the side of her head. We sit like this watching Lila, cooper and Nate open their stockings, seeing Rose smiling makes me so happy that she is back with her family and that i am considered as part of their family too. 

'who wants breakfast?' Papa asks 'meeee' Lila and Cooper say, 'go sit at the table' Laura says, I watch as they race to the table, 'ready doll?' i ask 'yeah' Rose smiles looking up at me, Standing up i wrap my arm around Rose as we walk to the table taking a seat opposite Lila and Cooper. 'you look like you love my sister' Cooper says, 'I do Cooper, I would do anything for her' I reply smiling, 'Here we are' Laura says placing the food on the table, 'thanks mama' Rose smiles, 'thanks laura' I smile. After breakfast Rose went to help Laura in the kitchen, Clint and I went to sit on the porch with Nate, as Lila and Cooper played in the snow. 

I had my gloves off, when im here i dont wear them, 'Nate loves you' Clint smiles, pointing to Nate who had one of my metal fingers in his mouth, 'Is it okay that hes doing that?' I ask, 'It is. its his way of saying 'I love you' ' clint smiles. 'Thank you for inviting me' I smile. 'Its okay Bucky, your family now. I still cant thank you enough for all you have done for Rose' Clint smiles, 'it okay Clint. I love Rose, from the day she was thrown into my cell i knew i had to protect her' I smile. 

'You look happy' I turn my head to see Rose, 'Be careful, you might be given babysitting duties' Rose smiles Laughing, 'hey you might too doll' i smile. 'nate looks comfortable' Rose smiles sitting beside me as Nate sleeps in my arms, 'I always wanted children growing up, but recently wasnt sure if i would be able to' I say quietly, 'Hey, James. who knows what the future holds, all i know is i want to spend it with you' Rose smiles. 'I feel the same Doll' I smile hugging her as she sits beside us. 'how are you feeling?' I ask. 'I'm feeling okay. Its nice.' Rose smiles, 'im still not fond of the snow' Rose says. 'i under stand how you are feeling Doll, we will be with you every step of the way, you dont have to go into the snow if you are not ready.' I say softly to Rose.

rose's pov

After dinner Mama received a message from her parents that they were coming over to visit, 'You and Bucky can join us or you can spend time together' Mama says. 'mama?' i ask, 'yes Rose' mama replies, 'Do they know about me?' I ask.  'they do, They know you have been found but we haven't told them what happened, we thought you should decide if the know what happened' Mama says. 'does papa's parents know?' i ask, 'they do like mine neither grand parents know what happened' mama says. 'okay' i smile nodding my head. 'ill talk to James' I smile.  'James?' I ask 'yeah Doll' he smiles 'could we talk in our room' i ask 'sure doll' he replies smiling. 

'so, mama and papa's parents know about me but not what happened. mamas parents are coming over later and she said its our choice if we wish to join them or stay in our room' i say. ' okay, first thing Rose' James smiles softly 'how are you feeling?' he asks 'i'm not sure. scared worried' I reply looking down. 'Hey Doll, look at me please' James says wrapping his arms around my waist, 'If you want to stay in our room i'm okay, I'm also okay if you want to go see them. I'm here for you what you decide' James tells me softly, 'okay. I'm also worried they may not like you or want you near me.' I tell him. 'Its okay Doll' James smiles.

James and I were sat on our bed when we hear the door bell went 'NANA GRANDAD!' I hear Lila and Cooper shout as they run to the door to greet Mamas parents. 'merry Christmas kids' a male voice say, 'Kids let your grandparents in' Papa says. I hear them walk towards the front room. 'Where's Rose? a female voice asks 'she's in here room with her boyfriend' Mama says. 'can we meet her?' the male voice says, 'maybe later if she is comfortable' Papa says, 'She been through a lot so has her boyfriend, so give them time and they may come out' papa adds.
