RWBY Listens to The Soundtrack

Vol. 1, Intro

     As Ruby prepared to hit "play", the screen lit up with text again. "'Wait!'" Ruby read out, "'I almost forgot to mention, Earth is different. Basically, No Grimm, No Aura, No Faunus, No Dust. So, uh, keep that in mind as you proceed.'"

Everyone started at the screen for a few seconds before Blake finally spoke up, "Wow, what a reliable program we have here. I'm so impressed."

"That's...different." Weiss added. "Let's just...get to the intro. If it becomes important, we'll deal with it then."

Shrugging, Ruby pressed play:

As the song began to play, Ruby spoke up. "Oh hey, I think I recognize this!"

"What's a "Rooster Teeth?"" Weiss asked.

Ruby's Scroll dinged & she got a text message in the same style as the S.I.D's other texts. Reading it out, it said, "'Just ignore that. Corporations are corporations regardless of the world.'"

Seeing Weiss flinch at that, Ruby quickly changed the subject, "Oh hey, that's me!"

[They see you as small and helpless]

"Hey, I am not!" Ruby shouted out. "I am aweso-wait, is that..."

[They see you as just a child]

"...Mom?" Ruby finished.

Yang looked stunned as well as their partners looked at them with concern, and Ozpin looked on with a deep sadness.

[Surprised when they find out that]

As the visuals shifted to show the both of them, it became clear where they were. "Oh, that's...mom's grave. Didn't notice that before" Ruby muttered.

"Do you...want to ta-" Weiss began before Ruby interrupted

"Yeah no, I'm good, we're good, right Yang?" At Yang's nod, Ruby focused back. "Thanks, though." she got out.

"It...seems like symbolism." Blake pointed out. "She was...an inspiration for you, right?"

Ruby nodded sorrowfully, and then resumed the video.

[A warrior will soon run wild]

"Now that's more like it." Ruby shouted out, all her worries seemingly forgotten.

"Cool shot with the moon." Jaune noted.

"Hey Blake, what's the symbolism here?" Yang asked.

"I don't know." Blake admitted.

"Maybe it just looks cool." Nora suggested. And hey, in fairness, it did.

[Prepare for your greatest moments]

As the title came onto the screen, Jaune spoke up. "Wait, is the show named "RWBY"?

"Ha!" Ruby shouted out, "Told you we're awesome."

"Still, if the show's named after us, that would imply we're the main "characters"." Blake pointed out.

"That must be why the..."Comminucube"...was sent to us, then." Weiss figured out. "Doesn't even look like a cube..." she then muttered.

"'nough of that, back to the video!" Yang insisted, though she was clearly happy at this news as well.

"This won't help some of their egos." Glynda muttered, while Ozpin pondered over what exactly that implies given the attention he's shown Team RWBY thus far.
