"'From Shadows, I'm sure you recognize the phrase from Red Like Roses.'" The text read out, and indeed Blake did. They'd all gotten back from their break rejuvenated and ready for more...though Blake suspected it was her turn now. "'It's...supposedly from the perspective of Blake Belladonna and...someone else. It was playing during her trailer.'" And yeah, Blake's definitely noticed the pattern. "'Though it may be best to think of it more as...a general anthem for The White Fang, for everyone's sake. Doesn't fit HIM at all. And don't worry, Blake, this won't out you.'"
Indeed, Blake had started to panic at the mention of the White Fang...but then she remembered her conversation with Ozpin after that whole thing at the docks. Looking at her, Ozpin confirmed.
"Yes, don't worry, Ms. Belladonna, I'm fully aware of your...former status and have been the entire time". Blake calmed down at that, and looked back, noting that the others seemed almost...ready to defend her. By force if needed. That was...unusual.
"I told you, I do extensive research on all my potential students. It wasn't difficult to figure out." he said. "And I understand that Belladonna isn't an uncommon last name for Faunus, but..." Blake instantly understood what he was getting at.
"Then why did you-" Blake began, before Glynda cut her off.
"We don't believe that you're a danger to anyone here. It was clear to me when I first read your profile." she explained. "We could tell that you...deserved another chance. So we gave it to you."
"...that easy?" Blake asked.
"Indeed. And you've more than proven yourself." Ozpin assured her. "Besides, the White Fang's cause is more...justified than most. Understandable, given how slow some Kingdom's progression is. I have to say, however, that I'm somewhat surprised at the level of violence here in Vale. Seems disproportionate compared to others"
"Yeah you're not the only one." Blake muttered. Speaking up, she declared, "Okay, let's get this thing over with." And with that, Ruby pressed play.
[*Buildup to Singing*]
By now, everyone was accustomed to waiting a bit for the lyrics at times, so they just patiently waited. It was nice tune, but it was the lyrics that would really tell them things. Speaking of....
[Intruder, identify yourself!]
that, however, was unexpected. "Was that an Atlesian Drone?" Weiss asked. "Just...talking?"
Blake only groaned. "Well, that puts it into perspective". At the rest of her team's look, she explained, "just the...timeline here". It took a few more seconds for the lyrics to start.

"It's going by really fast," Nora agreed, "Sounds good, though!"
Weiss just cringed at the lyrics. She knew enough now to know that...that wasn't an exaggeration.
[Treated
Like a
Worthless animal!]It was...hard for Blake to separate this from the context she'd put together, to imagine this from the perspective of the White Fang in general, and to accept the text's assertion that it didn't fit him at all...but then, logically, she knew that it didn't. Had ever since that last mission. Didn't change things emotionally.
