I stirred as the wind knocked at my window. The sun shone through the glass, burning my eyes as they opened. I growled, throwing my pillow at the glass pane in hopes of making the sun shut up. After a few attempts at this I gave up, deciding to make my descent down the stairs. I made it to the kitchen, dragging my feet.
"Morning." My dad was sitting at the table, eating and reading his book.
"Morning," I said groggily, turning the corner and running into the wall. After processing what had just happened, I straightened my back and glared daggers at the 5 by 3 by 12 rectangle constructed of easily breakable wood and plaster.
After my one way staring contest, I got out some ramen and sat down at the table. With his mask down, my father took his time eating. I, on the other hand, was going to be rather late to class. I finished eating, went to take a shower, then got dressed. Hiding my white ears in my white and silver hair, tucking my tail in my pants, and pulling my tank top and sweater over it so it didn't look weird. I was ready to walk out the door when something grabbed the collar of my shirt, pulling me back. It was dad.
"Be nice to the other kids and be careful." I rolled my eyes, pulling myself free from his gentle grip.
"Yes I know, see you later," I said, and sauntered out the door.
I didn't bother rushing, already knowing that I was already too late to even beg for forgiveness. When I arrived everyone was present, including the teacher who stared me down from across the classroom. Ignoring the multitude of glaring eyes surrounding me, I sat down next to a kid with blonde, spiky hair.
"What's your name?" I whispered.
For a moment I don't think he realized I was talking to him. When he did, however, his face lit up like a Christmas tree. "My name it Naruto Uzumaki, believe it!" he stated with a closed eyed grin.
I smiled at his enthusiasm before looking down at my desk. It was not long before we had a small break, allowing me to assess the room. I looked at the few things in the classroom, admiring the different posters on the walls. Other than those, the room was horrifically boring. Over to the left of me, I noticed a group of girls crowding a petite ravenette boy with hair like a duck's ass.
I feel really bad for them, I thought. For both the boy and the girls chasing him like ants after an orange.
"Now, today we have a new student. I'm introducing her now because she was late beyond belief, " he said, looking at me. "Would you like to come up and tell us your name?" He looked slightly irritated. I shook my head, but he brought me up anyway. I looked at everyone and closed my eyes, taking a deep breath.
"My name is Chidori Hatake," I said, trying not to talk to fast or too slow. Man, I didn't have to do any of this when I tried out for Chunin.

After Chidori left I started get worried. What if she gets into a fight? What if someone hurts her? What if I kill whoever hurt her and then we're both cast out of the village? All of these possibilities were rushing through my head, I had to sit down.
"She's going to be fine." I tried to convince myself, praying for that "if you put your mind to it" thing to actually work.
Finally gathering myself, I took one last breath before walking out my door to the Hokage's office.

Trying to pay attention turned out to be harder than I thought. I couldn't help but space out, everything was so boring. My dad had taught me everything I needed to know to be a ninja. Of course, I wasn't a master at everything, but practice makes permanent.
