~Kiba's P.O.V~
A scream made its way through the house, and I already knew where it was from. I rushed to Chidori's room, taking my place by her side. Kakashi Sensei was there in a flash, almost pushing me out of the way to get to her. "I thought we had fixed this problem," Kakashi-sensei said, rubbing his temples.
"Her nightmares?" I questioned, raising a brow.
"When we were on missions out of the village they stopped happening. There must be something about the village that worries her, something is triggering her nightmares," he said.
Suddenly, Chidori spoke up, causing both Kakashi Sensei's and my eyes to turn to her. "D-do you t-think anyone would m-miss m-me if I l-left?" she stuttered.
"Of course they could," Kakashi Sensei said, rubbing her shoulder.
"L-like, if I ran away," she whispered, her head turning to me. "Would you come after me?"
"Of course," I said hugging her. She hugged back, her body relaxing.
"Sorry for waking you up," she mumbled after we broke apart from the hug.
"No problem, and I guess this is goodnight," I said beginning to lift myself from her bed.
Before I could get any further she grabbed my wrist. "Kiba," Chidori whispered. I faced her, eyes wide. "Can you stay here with me?" she asked.
"You mean like, in the room?" I asked, trying not to assume.
"No, can you stay in the bed until I fall asleep?" she asked again.
I looked over at Kakashi Sensei for approval. He gave a brief nod before walking out of the room and closing the door.
"Okay," I said, crawling into bed next to her.

~In the morning~
When I opened my eyes I saw Kiba still fast asleep, arms wrapped around me. He looked so peaceful when he slept. I looked over at my clock, checking the time. Six AM, around that time Dad and I would start getting ready to meet my other teammates. I would have to wake Kiba up. Not thinking of a better option, I simply kicked him off the bed.
"What the hell was that for?" he yelled, holding the back of his head.
"I needed to get up and you were holding onto me. I had no other choice," I said in a matter-of-fact way.
His face flushed pink. "That's no excuse for hurting me!" he yelled at me again. Tears trickled down my ivory skin. Of course, it was fake, I was just messing with him. "W-wait, no! I'm sorry," he said latching onto me.
I stopped the crying and started laughing. He looked at me a little confused, his head tilted to the side like a dog. "What?" he asked.
"Nothing, anyway, I have to get ready to meet my team," I said, getting off of the bed.
"Okay," he said. He let go of the hug we were in and looked at me.
"Get out! I have to change!" I said shoving him out of the room. When he was out, I changed into my regular clothes and walked out of the room. Kiba had already gone, so I made breakfast for myself and went on my way. If my dad had left already, that meant I was really late. When I finally got there I saw Sai, Sasuke, Sakura, Naruto and my dad all sitting there waiting for me.
"Sorry I'm late!" I announced, running next to Naruto.
"That's fine. Now today we will see if you guys can get the bells I have," Dad said. Major deja vu (A/N: don't know if that's how you spell it, but whatever).
