~Chidori's P.O.V~
Kiba and I had finally gotten married, believe it or not. Through all of the shyness, confusion, and embarrassment, we finally tied the knot. Another thing that comes after(or before, just depends) getting married, is having kids. I had recently gotten pregnant, around this time I was ten weeks along. I had been having trouble telling Kiba because we'd been so busy, running around on missions. Whenever we had a break, we were literally just sleeping in, that was life. One of our bigger and most successful missions was bringing home some of the Akatsuki members: Sasori, Deidara, and Itachi. (A/N:I know this did not, and would never happen in the actual series, but I wanted it to happen.) They were now members of the Village Hidden in the Leaves, permanently. This did take a lot of convincing, but it did happen.
At the moment, however, I was walking home from a doctor's appointment. The baby was healthy, making me the happiest person alive, but the guilt did begin to creep up on me.
Suddenly, I heard a quiet chuckle from behind me. "Hm?" I looked back, seeing Naruto smiling at me.
"What're you so happy about?" he asked, hands clasped behind his back.
"Nothing much," I chuckled, slowly cracking my fingers.
"Come on, tell me!" he whined.
"It's nothing, Naruto. Now, go back to your wife!" I laughed, walking away and waving.
When I opened the door to my house, I saw Kiba packing our bags for our most recently assigned mission. Akamaru had heard the door open, immediately tackling me and licking my face. Kiba turned around, worry plastered on his face.
"Did they say what was wrong?" he asked. I had told him I was just feeling sick the past couple days, but he was convinced it was something more severe.
"Nothing horrible is wrong, just some stomach problems. I'l be fine," I said, trying my best to persuade him.
"You sure?" he asked, voice still laced with concern. He was such a good husband.
"Yep. We should hurry up, don't want to be to late!" I announced, grabbing my bag and running out the door.
"Wait up!" he yelled after me.
I laughed and ran to the gates to the village. There I saw Deidara, my dad and Itachi waiting for us. "Hey!" I waved.
"Chidori!" Deidara picked me up, twirling me around, and then setting me back down. Deidara and I had become very close as of late. He was pretty much like a brother to me, with rather...explosive habits, one might say.
"Chidori, would it kill you to slow down?" Kiba yelled coming into view. When he reached us, he was panting, Akamaru joining him.
I only laughed, patting him on the back. As we began the walk, Kakashi-sensei began going over some of the plans.
"So how's it going with you and the mutt?" Deidara whispered, leaning over to me.
"Fine, he's been a little busy, but yeah," I said.
"He really needs to pay more attention to you," Deidara growled.
"I swear I'm fine with it. I have more work then he does, so I'm out most of the time," I said, holding my hands up in defense.
"I know, I know..." There was a pause and then Kakashi gave a sign to stop.
When Kakashi gave the signal, we all dashed into the trees, keeping as quiet as possible. A group of ninja from the Mist village had camped out in a clearing, most of them asleep. I looked around, finally spotting what the five of them were after, a small boy. I growled when I saw the condition he was in, battered, bruised, and locked in a cage.
