~Chidori's P.O.V~
He knows. Kiba knows, not all of it, but part of it. Could it put him in danger? I doubt it, but, knowing my luck, there is a chance. "Chidori!" my father called, looking at me from the living room. I snapped my head to the side.
"hm?" I hummed, lifting my eyes to meet his.
"I've been calling you for the last five minutes, Chidori. What's wrong?" he asked, crossing his arms.
"Should something be wrong?" I asked, cracking a smile. "No, I'm fine."
"Sure, suit yourself." He shrugged, making his way to his room.
"Night," I said, beginning to do the same. The lights turned off, shrouding the entire house in darkness.

I peered over at my wife's face, grinning at the joy in her voice. We had been so excited when we found out she was pregnant, we had talked about it for hours. She would start listing off names, if she was a boy, we would have named her this, but if she was a girl, we could name her that. We were never serious about the names, but it was nice to daydream.
"Do you think it'll look like you?" she asked, head tilting back so it hit my chest.
"I hope it looks like. You're stunning," I chuckled, sneaking my fingers around her sides. Before she knew what to do, she was on the wooden floor, laughing her ass off.
"Kakashi Hatake! Y-ou," she erupted in a fit of giggles and curses. All I could do was smile, letting her peal off my mask.
At that, the tickling and rough housing stopped, and I just stared at her. I took in every detail of how she looked, how her hair fell in front of her eyes when the wind moved too much, how her noise scrunched when she asked what was wrong. Everything about her was perfect, for lack of a better word.
"I love you," I sighed, smile permanently etched into my face.
She lifted her left hand, gently pressing it against my cheek. "I-"
Screams tore through my ears, making them ring. I threw my blankets away from me, jumping up and running to my daughter's room. And there she was, rocking herself on her bed, shaking and sweating, tears pricking her eyes. I tried to calm her down, holding her to my chest, rubbing her back, but it didn't work like before. I decided to do the only other thing I could think of. Go to Kiba.
~Time skip~
I ran up the steps to the Inuzuka household, arriving at the door with my shaking daughter in my arms. I kicked at the door, not able to use my hands at the moment.
"What do you want?" yelled an angry mother, kicking the door outwards.
"Kiba! I need Kiba to help Chidori, please," I begged, hugging Chidori closer. She looked down at the girl in my arms, the child she had practically helped raise, and nodded.
"I'll go get him," she said, running into the house.
I set Chidori down on the couch, continuing to rub her back in an attempt to soothe her. A minute later, Kiba ran into the living room. He took one look at Chidori, his eyes widening.
"What do you want me to do?" he asked, hands beginning to shake.
"Hold her. Maybe she'll calm down if you're with her," I suggested, standing from my place and offering it to Kiba. He took a seat behind Chidori, pulling her into his arms. I eyes him carefully as I backed away. Kiba was a good kid, and I knew that, but Chidori's my daughter. I'd kill Kiba if he tried anything, and he knows that.

As I held Chidori in my arms, I started thinking of things I could do to help relax her. The only thing I could come up with was to talk to her, maybe letting her know I was there would do something.
"What's up, Chidori?" I whispered in her ear. She looked at me with frightened eyes, hands gripping at the sleeves of my sweater.
"It's okay, nothing's going to happen to you, or anyone," I said, nodding at her.
"K-Kiba," she whispered, tripping over her words.
"Yeah?" I said, cracking a smile.
"I'm so, so sorry." She gripped my shirt tighter, stretching the material.
"You didn't do anything," I said, trying to convince her more and more as we continued.
"It's not what I did this time, it's what I didn't do." She gulped, the sound audible from at least two yards away.
"Just try to go back to sleep," I whispered, running my fingers through her hair.
"I can't," she said, shaking her head.
"I'll be right here, don't worry. No nightmares will come while Akamaru and I are here." I smiled, showing her my fangs. The sides of her mouth twitched, slightly turning up into a smile. Her eyes drifted closed, Akamaru and mine following soon after.

I watched as the Inuzuka put my daughter to sleep within twenty minutes of us being there.
"You know, they would be a cute couple," Kiba's mom whispered, hands on her hips.
I nodded and smiled under my mask. This was going to be good.

When I awoke, warmth surrounded me. I was completely wrapped in Chidori, Akamaru, and several blankets. Needless to say, I was rather hot. "Chidori, wake up," I whispered, tapping her head.
"Mmmmm," she groaned, only snuggling more into my chest. The only progress that made was making me smile.
"Chidori, wake up!" I said a bit louder.
"Nooooooooo," she whined, throwing her arms at my face.
"Chidori," I sighed "Get up, or I'll throw you off." I pushed her hands out of my eyes and other integral parts of my face.
"But Kiba, I wanna stay here. You're warm," she cried, eyes still squeezed shut.
I picked her up, holding her legs with my left arm. Her arms immediately wrapped around my neck, head dropping into the crook of my neck. That's when I dropped her on the couch.
"Noooooo! You left me. You don't care if I get cold?" she asked, pulling the blankets around her.
"No, because you'll be fine. Get up, you have training, and so do I," I said walking into my room to change.
"But Kiba, I don't have any clothes to change into," she said, stumbling after me.
"Give me a sec," I said, rummaging through my clothes, looking for something she could wear to walk home. Eventually, finding a blue hoodie and some long pants, I threw them at her. "Here, this is what I've got," I said, and went to go change.

I got dressed in Kiba's clothes, running straight home. When I arrived at my front door, I notice that my teamates, along with Kakashi-sensei, were standing there. I waved, slowing my run into a walk as I arrived. Sasuke looked me up and down, arms crossed, before looking away, cheeks tinged pink. Naruto, on the other hand, full on blushed, face becoming as red as a tomato. I rolled my eyes, running into the house to change out of the too big hoodie and drooping pants, and into my regular stuff. Once I was all done, I came down and stood next to Naruto.
"Like I was saying before, you all have the day off," Kakashi-sensei said, causing me to smile. Mission of the day: Go find Kiba.
(A/N: Sorry for another short chapter. I don't know why I can't make these chapters any longer and I'm sorry about that. Thanks for reading this far and sticking with me, have great days!)
