~Kiba's P.O.V~
After having the door slammed in my face, I hurried down the steps and towards the exit. On the way down, I ran into Kakashi-sensei, his arms crossed and his one eye glaring down at me. "What happened with Chidori?" he asked.
"Nothing, I should probably get going," I said, scrambling away.
"Oh, you can leave, but when I find out what you did to my daughter you are going to wish you were never born," he threatened. I looked down, acknowledging he had a kunai and, at that, I started to run.
As I ran past the house, I saw Chidori jump out the window, and onto another roof. She ran, and I didn't follow, which was my first mistake. My second mistake was going back to Kakashi-sensei, letting him know that Chidori had run. Needless to say, he was pissed, telling me to find her and fix this. He said he would, and I quote, "Neuter me."
"Shikamaru, do you know where Chidori is?" I yelled, skidding to a stop in front of him.
"Nope, but you should try the forest. She always goes there," he said, walking off to God knows where.
I thanked him, taking off in that direction. How could I not think of the forest? She always goes there! I've known her for years, but when it comes to me screwing up, I don't know shit! I cursed myself as I leaped from tree to tree. Akamaru was safely planted on my head when I did a quick double take. Hearing voices nearby, I changed directions and headed towards them. I hid my chakra, using the cover of the leaves to hide the rest of me.
"What happened, Chidori?" It was Naruto, he was hugging Chidori while she broke sticks.
"N-nothing, I'm fine!" Chidori said cheerfully, another stick breaking in her grasp.
"It's really obvious that you're lying," Naruto said, crouching down in front of her.
"Don't worry about it. It's not that big a deal." Chidori smiled. Her smile is so cute! ...I had no words for what I had thought.
"Chidori, you're snapping sticks and wearing a fake smile. I've had it on too many times not to see when someone else's smile is fake," Naruto said.
Chidori sighed. "Naruto, I'm just a little upset. It's not something I can't deal with, Okay?" she said, lifting herself from the ground.
"Okay," Naruto said, standing up as well. Out of nowhere, Naruto hugged Chidori. She gripped onto him like a lifeline, smiling. I heard myself growl. Damn it! Why do I feel like this! They're both my friends! What is happening to me? I mentally screamed at myself. I decided to leave, knowing that if I stayed there any longer I would want to tear Naruto apart. I went to my house and laid in bed. I closed my eyes and didn't want to wake up.
~Chidori's P.O.V~
After Naruto left, I wanted to see Kiba and talk with him. Naruto tried to reason with me, telling me that Kiba was probably just messing around. The more he talked about it, the more I realized that it was probably the case, but I was still angry. He insulted my best friend, and he looked like he meant it. I shook my head, stepping up to the Inuzuka household and knocking on the door.
"Hello, do you know where Kiba is?" I asked Ms. Inuzuka.
"He's in his room. Do you know what's wrong with him? He hasn't come out yet, and I'm starting to get worried," Kiba's mom said.
I smiled at her. "I think it's because we got into a fight today. I'm going to check on him, okay?" I said, assuring her. I ran to his room, knocking on his door.
"Come in." This was followed by a groan. I opened the door, seeing Kiba lying on his bed, Akamaru atop him.
I closed the door behind me before walking over and sitting on Kiba's bed. "I'm sorry about earlier, I may have overreacted," I said, rubbing the back of my neck.
"It's all right, my fault, really." Kiba sighed.
"Obviously, it's not fine. Why are you in your room like this?" I asked.
"It's nothing," he said, I knew he was trying to make me stop.
"No Kiba, I want to know what's going on," I snapped at him. He looked at me, scared. I sighed, taking a minute to get my head straight, and hugged him. I swear, he flinched for a second, but he hugged, no, squeezed me. "Need...to...breathe!" I gasped, patting his back furiously.
"Oh, sorry!" he yelled. When he let go, his face was totally red.
"Kiba your face is red, are you okay?" I asked, putting my hand against his forehead.
"No, I'm good," he stuttered.
"So, I was wondering if you wanted to hang out before I have to go home?" I said, smiling.
He nodded and smiled back. "So, we're good?" I asked.
"We're good," he agreed. Akamaru jumped on me, causing me to laugh. We had a fun time.
I just wish I had time to savor it.
(A/N: Jesus Christ, me and these short chapters! I promise I'm not doing it on purpose, I just don't know what to do. Well, I hope you all have amazing days and stay well! Bye!)
