~Chidori's P.O.V~
Naruto and I had arrived in the classroom, him going to his respective seat, and me running at Kiba. Kiba had been a good friend of mine ever since I was roughly six years of age. There were a couple of misunderstandings about our relationship at first, but it all got sorted out in the end.
"Hey, Kiba!" I said excitedly, hugging him.
A couple moments passed before we let go of said hug, his arms falling around my waist. "Hey Chidori, who do you think you're going to be put with?" he asked, a smile creeping onto his face.
"I don't know. I'm hoping I'm with people I like," I said, scratching under Akamaru's chin. I looked over at Sasuke for a moment, eyes narrowing. "And not him."
"Yeah, I know right." Kiba nodded and sat back down. I joined Naruto at my own seat, watching all the fangirls crowd the Uchiha .
"Everyone, back to your seats!" Iruka-sensei yelled, making everyone jump into their places.
"Good, now I'm going to tell you your teams," he said, looking down at a sheet of paper.
He began running off people's names, going through each team in numerical order. Finally, Naruto's name was called. "Team seven: Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno." Naruto jumped for joy and Sakura looked really irritated. "Sasuke Uchiha." This time Sakura was happy and Naruto growled, crossing his arms. "And Chidori Hatake." I hit my head on the table several times, cursing at my luck. I was put with Naruto, but at a terrible price.
"But Iruka-sensei, why does a great ninja like me have to be with a slug like Sasuke?" Naruto yelled, slamming his fist on the table, as if demanding an explanation.
"Sasuke is one of the best. In order to balance the groups we put the best scores with the worst. You being the worst." Everyone started laughing, but I didn't, and neither did Sasuke. Though, I think we had different reasons for not laughing at the poor boy beside me.
"You will meet your Sensei after lunch. You are dismissed." Kids rushed out of the classroom, flipping over tables and skidding out the door. I lifted myself from my chair and made my way to my house, walking inside. My dad was sitting on the couch reading his perverted book.
"Hey, what's up?" I asked. He didn't even look up at me, nose buried in his book.
I dropped my bag on the floor, jumping on my dad from behind and taking his book. I ran over to the sink, holding the book under the faucet fingers gently pushing the shiny metal handle.
"Chidori, give me back my book!" he yelled, stumbling after me.
"You haven't been paying attention to me because of this thing," I complain, shaking the small paper prism.
"Please, give me back my book," he begged, creeping ever closer to me.
"Not until you actually spend time with me. You don't train with me a lot, you don't go out with me, you don't do anything with me. Do you really care about me, Dad?" I asked, glaring at the sink.
Dad look deflated, but straightened his back and stopped reaching for the book. "Of course I do Chidori, I love you more than anything in the world." He smiled and walked closer to me.
"Even more than your perverted book?" I looked up at him, already knowing the answer.
"Yes even more then my book," he sighed, petting my head.
"Can you train with me before I meet my teacher?" I asked, raising a brow.
"Sure, but can you give me my book first?" he asked nervously.
