Hunting Trip Gone Wrong

(One month later)

Hunting Trip Gone Wrong: When everything had settled down the king had given them free rein of the island until all of the projects Alexis suggested were working and well on their way. While they waited, the crews mingled together, catching up on the adventures the kids have been up to. Kid glares at the twins and Makoto the whole time as their partners sat in their laps.

He left Elijah alone because he was too cute and adorable to mess with. Alexis mentioned her hunting skills when meat got brought up. Makoto nods towards her. "I think I'm decent at hunting as well. I usually use a bow and arrow to hunt. I like to use the skins of some of my catches for my leatherworking."

"You didn't tell me you could leatherwork." Rogue says. Makoto shrugs.

"It was never brought up and I haven't had any leather." Rouge hums. Alexis claps happily.

"Perfect! I want to get to know my children's partners so let's go camping and you can show me your hunting skills, Makoto."

Makoto seems a bit shocked by this. "Oh, uh sure."

Kid huffs. "You are not going anywhere with my wife by yourself. I'm coming with you and Rosinante you're coming too."

"I am?" Rosi says, a bit surprised.

Alexis rolls her eyes "Really, red? We'll be just fine on our own. You hate going on camping trips with me, anyway. Plus this isn't Rosi's kind of activity."

"I'm going and that's final. I don't trust this guy yet. We don't know him. And Rosi can be there in case we need a doctor." He crosses his arms.

"You don't have to go anywhere with me, it's fine." Makoto says, feeling a bit uncomfortable.

Alexis places her hands on her hips. "We are going and that's final. Eustass, you can come if you want, but you aren't stopping me. We can go now." She sighs before smiling at Makoto. "It's fine, Sweetie. Rosi can stay with you in your tent and I can have Eustass in mine." Kid glares at Makoto, but agreed with his wife. Alexis quickly got the supplies and equipment packed and ready to go. "Alright let's get going." She goes to carry her stuff, but Kid takes it from her. Makoto nods.

"Okay." He carried Rosi's stuff and his as well. Rosi beams up at him as he does this. He loved this man. They all head out into the wooded area, looking for the perfect camping spot. Once they set up, Rosi pulls Makoto into the tent, stealing a deep kiss from him.

"I'm gonna stay here, be careful out there on your hunting trip." Makoto nods and kisses his husband a few more times before they go to meet up with Alexis and Kid. Kid insisted on coming with them.

"Red you can't hunt and you will scare the animals away. You can keep Rosi company here so he's not by himself."

Kid crosses his arms again. "I'm going."

Rosi waves them off. "I'll be fine on my own. I can get some reading done."

Alexis hugs Rosi. "Okay baby, you stay safe and we'll be back as soon as we can."

He shooed her away. "I'll be fine mom. Go have fun."

Alexis grins at Makoto "Okay, let's hunt!" Makoto nods as he grabs his bow and arrows. He kissed Rosi goodbye and the 3 head off in search of dinner. Makoto takes down two deer with ease. Alexis had found rabbits and a wild pig. Kid huffs as Alexis praises Makoto's skill with a bow.

"That thing is not that hard to use, let me see that." Kid demands.

"Uh okay." Makoto says and hands him the bow with an arrow in place. Alexis comes running up with carrots held in her hand.
