Chapter 12

"Miss Lee I found information which will be very helpful for you."

"And what is it Secretary Choi?"

"This project is Miss Mizuhara's make or break."

"hmm? You mean if she didn't get this, she'll be fired."

"That's correct."

"Awesome." She smiled.

"And we have scheduled a flight back to Korea tomorrow morning Miss Lee."

"Already?"

"Yes. I'm afraid the main office is a mess. We need to go back as soon as possible after we seal the deal here."

"*smirk* Seal the deal?"

"Or if you decided to. Is there a way you can tell me your plans?"

"That would be depending on the presentation of course. However Secretary Choi...how about a little drama?"

They get off their car, but then as soon as they arrived, Jiyong and Kiko also arrived at the location. Chaerin saw them. She just stood there frozen as she saw the scene in front of her. Kiko kissed Jiyong in his cheek as a goodbye. Seunghyun nudge her to put her back to her senses. Chaerin continued walking as if nothing happened.

"Oh God! That's Miss Lee! You should greet her!" She's now dragging Jiyong closer.

"A-ah Kiko I don't think... she might be busy or so..."

"NO! hurry up!... ... Miss Lee!!!"

Chaerin stopped and looked at her back then Kiko and Jiyong rushed by her.

"Good morning Miss Lee!" Kiko greeted.

"Oh. Good morning Miss Mizuhara." Then she looked at Jiyong. "Good morning Mr. Kwon."

"Is there something you wish to tell me?" She continued.

"Ah no Miss Lee. Jiyong just wanted to say Hi to you." Kiko awkwardly answered.

"Very well. If there's none, I excuse myself; I and Secretary Choi still have an important meeting to go."

"I'll see you inside Miss Lee."

With that, Chaerin entered the building without looking back at them. Jiyong felt the coldness on her words. He didn't even have the chance to say hi to her.

"I think she's bipolar or something. When we were with her she was bubbly and sweet but now... wow. She really is the ice princess." Kiko snorted.

Jiyong just left Kiko without a word. Then, inside the building, Chaerin is just looking out the window. She remembered one of the times she really wish to burry...

**Chaerin was out by herself at a mall since it was her day off at work. Much to her annoyance because it has been 2 days since Jiyong last contacted her. She can't remember anything she did that would make him upset and even if she does something, she's sure Jiyong and her will patch it up. Going around the mall without any plans, she hops at every single stall there is until she saw a very familiar figure. She was about to take a step closer, until an arm were wrapped around that familiar figure's waist and does the same thing. Chaerin didn't dare to take another step as she saw the familiar figure kiss the other one at the cheeks. As blurry as her mind, her eyes are all leaking. She stay fixed at the spot as she saw the other one walked away for the cashier. The familiar figure looked around saw her, still embedded at the same spot.

"Hunchae~" He whispered.

Chaerin didn't know where she got the strength, but she managed to walkout as fast as she could. Questions has been flooded her mind all this time; 'who is that?', 'what is going on?', 'have I done something wrong?', 'is there something wrong with me?', 'am I not pretty for him?'...those are the inquiries in her mind. But then the only words her mouth manages to mutter...

"Am I not good enough Jiyong?"**

"Miss Lee everything's ready now."

Seunghyun's call snapped her out of her reverie. He noticed she was in her deep thoughts.

"Want me to request for another 5 minutes?"

"No need for that Secretary Choi. I am ready."

The presentation started and Chaerin listened cautiously with Kiko's proposal. Chaerin maintain her face straight while the proposal is going on. It was almost finished when...

"Are you insulting me Miss Mizuhara?"

"I'm sorry Miss Lee?" She answered flustered.

"You are not deaf are you? I said are you insulting me?" Still looking directly at Kiko

"No Miss Lee. i-I am not..."

"You're not? Then tell me why I don't see any of my input on the presentation not even a single one?! Clearly you don't understand anything. I have written down the important points for this project to work! Then what? You purposely put it out and go on with another one of your own which I find senseless. What are you trying to prove here? That my ideas are not important and clearly not what your company can handle?! Is that it? Well Miss Mizuhara, I don't think this partnership will work."

Chaerin together with Seunghyun stormed out of the meeting area. Kiko dashed hurriedly to Chaerin to block her way.

"Miss Lee please listen." Kiko plead.

"There's nothing more to talk about Miss Mizuhara. You had your chance and I was kind enough to give you another one but guess what? You've wasted it!"

"Miss Lee give us another chance! Please..."

"No. don't you know how much I have wasted waiting and listening to your nonsense? Millions! I personally went here, thinking that this is a good project! Then what did I earn?! Nothing! Nothing but embarrassment and a waste of time!" Chaerin firmly stand.

Kiko swallowed her pride for she knew that this project is her all. She didn't mind all of the painful words Chaerin said. She is doing this for them. Not only for herself, but for their future. Kiko found herself kneeling in front of Chaerin.

"Please Miss Lee. I beg you. I still have another presentation ready for you. Please give me this one last chance." Kiko said looking at Chaerin.

Chaerin wasn't taken aback with Kiko kneeling. 'Just what I expected' she thought. She knew, one thing for sure, she now have Kiko at the palm of her hand.
