Chaerin found the two men looking at each other while Jiyong has his smile plastered on his face. Puzzled, Chaerin was curious on what is happening.
"What is happening here?" She asked with seriousness.
"Hey, there you are!" Jiyong greeted still smiling. "Director Park here just dropped the funniest joke I've ever heard!" Then he looked at Director Park containing his reaction.
"Oh wow! I thought something's happening. I'm glad you like his humor." Chaerin smiled in relief as she sits down.
"Yep! I really do." Jiyong told with full sarcasm.
Lunch ended, the three went back to the office to set it up for Makoto-san's visit. Chaerin is ecstatic with closing of the deal and wouldn't bother with other issues going on around her. She couldn't thank Jiyong enough for getting Makoto-san's favor since she is expecting that arrangement will just go down in the drain. Few hours later, it's time for Mr. Makoto's arrival. Jiyong and Yoochun are most ready to welcome the Japanese investors and still waiting for Chaerin to stand with them.
"Now I get it." Yoochun muttered.
"Excuse me?"
"I just realized that the sole purpose on why you're here is just to stand here, in front of the door to welcome Makoto-san for our meeting. To think that you flew all the way here from Korea just to say 'Welcome Sir!'." Yoochun nods. "I have to give you kudos for that!"
Jiyong was about to rebut however he heard Chaerin's heels clanking their way to where they are standing.
"Everything ready?"
"Yes. Everything is on its places Miss Lee. What just have to do is to show them your gorgeous smile."
Yoochun said those words like it was covered with the sweetest chocolate there is. She couldn't help but smile with his compliment and Jiyong couldn't help but to raise one of his eyebrows in annoyance. Chaerin turned her head to Jiyong and noticed his annoyed face. They looked at each other, as if asking 'What? That made you blush?' and 'What is wrong with you?'. The staring competition didn't last that long since Makoto-san's car parked in front of the building. The three rushed in front of the buildings entrance to welcome him.
"Good day Makoto-san! I'm glad you made it." It was Chaerin who first greeted him.
"Good day to you too Miss Lee." Makoto-san greeted back.
Jiyong was about to say hi to him but Yoochun butted and blocked his hand as he trying to shake hands with Makoto-san.
"Hello Mr. Makoto, I'm Director Park Yoochun of the Japan branch. It is nice to finally meet you Sir. I am looking forward on working with you."
"Thank you. Miss Lee, how come I don't see..." Makoto-san looked around with scowl on his face.
"Makoto-san!" Jiyong popped out of Director Park's side.
"There he is! How are you my friend?" The Japanese investor pushed Director Park aside to greet Jiyong. "I thought you're not here!
"Well... here I am!"
It is obvious on how glad Makoto-san when he saw Jiyong as Yoochun has an annoyed face.
"Shall we go inside? We have lots to talk about." Jiyong said it while smiling.
Together with the Japanese investors, Chaerin , Jiyong and Yoochun went inside the conference room. As the rest of the people are getting settled down, Yoochun called Jiyong and whispered something.
"Secretary Kwon, can I ask you a favor?"
"What is it?" Jiyong replied cautiously.
"Can you..." Yoochun extends a bunch of paper to Jiyong. "... photocopy these documents?"
He looked at the guy giving him the papers because he knows something was up.
"We need these for the presentation. Thank you!"
Jiyong sketchily took the papers and went outside the conference room. While doing the task, he noticed that what he's holding are just blank papers. He rushes back to the room. As he tried to open the door and turned the knob, it was locked. He stopped and strained to keep his emotions. He listened carefully on what's happening inside the room; it seems that the presentation already started. Jiyong thought that it would be rude for him to come in busting the doors. He decided to return back to his designated station and wait for the presentation to end.
Meanwhile inside the conference room, Chaerin observed Jiyong's absence.
