Chapter 23

"Jiyong?"

Even though only half of the bodies are seen on the monitor, it was unquestionably a familiar figure hugging Chaerin. Indeed, it was Kiko who is in a meeting with her. Jiyong shudders when he looked at the monitor; a teary eyed Kiko was shown. He lets go of Chaerin's body while the latter one doesn't have any idea why he did it. It was not even in her plans at all but she knew she needs to say something before ideas pop into Kiko's head.

"i-I don't know what's going on." Chaerin stutters for the first time. "Is there something wrong Secretary Kwon?"

Jiyong remains wordless while staring at nowhere. Chaerin is looking back and forth to the man standing in front of her and the woman on her computer screen.

"Secretary Kwon aren't you gonna answer me?"

"Miss Lee I'm sorry. I didn't-"

"You should be. I am in the middle of meeting here and you will come barging in my office then hug me without any reasons. Don't you remember where we are standing now?"

"I apologize Miss Lee. I'll take my leave now."

Jiyong went out of the office. Chaerin sat down and looked at Kiko. Like her, she is still in shock of what he did. However Chaerin kept her composure as if nothing happened.

"Shall we continue?"

"What's going on?" Kiko asked ignoring her question.

"That's the least of my worries Miss Mizuhara. Please continue with what-"

"I want to know! Why is Jiyong hugging you Chaerin?!" Kiko said raising her voice.

"No idea." Chaerin kept her face straight. "And like I said, that's the least of my worries. If you and Secretary Kwon are having relationship issues, please make sure you settle it properly without impairing your quality of work. Shall we continue MISS Mizuhara?"

Kiko is still not answering Chaerin's question and continue to look at her with fuming eyes.

"Well, it seems that we can't continue for today. Let's just adjourn this meeting for today since this project is already delayed. I think a day wouldn't hurt. I'll see you next time."

As soon as she clicked on the end call button, Chaerin get on her feet and went up the rooftop with a tiny box on her hand. She lights up a stick and closes her eyes; she was thinking of the scenario earlier. 'Why did he do that?' She thought until a man stand beside her.

"I knew you would come here."

I was Seunghyun standing beside her giving her a warm smile. He reaches for the tiny box on Chaerin's hand and lit up one for him.

"How'd you know?" Chaerin asked looking at him.

"Uhm. I was about to enter when a guy storms out then after a while a beautiful woman comes after looking pissed as hell. Studying that face, I knew some drama happened. And knowing that woman, drama was not her forte."

"Seunghyunnie you know me too well that it scares me." Chaerin said with now a softer tone.

Seunghyun pocketed the tiny box and held her hand. He looked deeply in her eyes; this girl is his everything. He was away for a couple of days, even though they are talking every day, he can't stand it if he won't be able to see her. He misses every single bit of her.

"It is nothing to be scared of. That is actually a good thing."

Chaerin smiled with his assurance. She lets go of his hand and put hers on his cheek. That's her gesture Seunghyun's most fond of.
