Chapter 28

Chaerin and Jiyong are now inside the car making their way to the house. Both of them stayed silent while Jiyong is looking at the scene unraveling as they travel the miles. The stillness broke when Seunghyun's name appear at the car's dashboard. Chaerin answered it with her earphones.

"Hey we just arrived and now on the way to the house...... yeah." she looked at Jiyong then back to the road. "How about you? Are you done with the final phase?... you are? Good job! By the way we still have to prep for the meeting... right. We need to check on the data if its correct. Can we make sure that the numbers are accurate? We'll be arriving after 15 minutes- is that enough time to have the numbers ready?... good. I'll call you when we arrive."

Jiyong was just looking at Chaerin as she noticed it as well.

"What?"
"Don't you get any rest at all? You just arrived from a flight then you're now scheduling a meeting?"

Chaerin lets out a small laugh then shakes her head.

"What? Did I say something funny?"
"Well it seems like you have forgotten something Mr. Kwon."
"And what is that?"
"I have more than a hundred thousand employees working under me; I can't just rest because I want to. We are here to work, not for vacation. So technically we are still working."

Jiyong just nods in agreement. Chaerin is right; this is a business trip and his time is still being paid by the company.

"By the way, welcome to Japan."

Soon after 15 minutes, they arrived at Chaerin's house. Jiyong stepped out of the car and adored the traditional type house in front of him. A couple of years ago, he would always tell her how he always wanted to have a japanese traditional house.

"This is awesome Hunchae. Is this..."
"My dream house? No. This is just one of my houses."

Jiyong tought of many things. How did she get so lucky in a span of 4 years? Did she saved a nation on her previous life? He can't help himself to ask these questions as he discovers how she transformed from the Chaerin he had known 8 years ago.

"Lets go?" Chaerin snapped him out of his thoughts.
"Yeah. You have a meeting in 5 minutes."

The two entered the house with Jiyong still looking around.

"Secretary Kwon, Seungri's room is upstairs at the left side, 3rd room, here is the key. The kitchen is right there; please help yourself if you're hungry. I just have to take this conference call here, then after we'll go to the Japan branch. And with that... I gotta go."

Jiyong followed her instructions. After fixing his luggage, he immidiately went down to listen to the meeting while he answer all of his email. He sat beside Chaerin and trying his best not to make any noise; making sure he's not disturbing anything.

As the meeting goes by, he just can't help but to be astonished with how spontaneous Chaerin is in speaking. Jiyong definitely remembered how shy she was up to the point that she would rather shut up and would rather not prove her point than to speak in front of many people.

Jiyong became curious. He is curious on how, in the span of more or less than 4 years, Chaerin changed 360.

Seungri entered his office at the Australian branch until his chair suddenly moves around which made his heart almost fell on the floor.

"Oh my God! Hyung! You scared me!!!"

It was Seunghyun sitting on the chair with a face smothered with satisfaction as he didn't fail to scare the young one.

"Are you done with work?" He asked still sitting on Seungri's chair.
"Yeah almost. Why? What are you doing here by the way?"
"Well... I just added some finnishing touches to Chaerin's master piece."
