Chapter 4

"We will be arriving shortly."

Chaerin is just staring outside. Drowned in deep thoughts.

"Miss Lee?"

"oh. I'm sorry. What was that?"

"we'll be arriving shortly."

"I see."

Chaerin tried to reach for her phone but Seunghyun noticed that her hand was shaking. He grabbed her hand and she was shocked with his actions.

"Seunghyunnie~"

"You can do it. You want to take a breather before we proceed to the location?"

"... ... yes please."

Seunghyun called the driver to stop the car for a while. Chaerin took a box out of her purse and light up the stick as she puts it in her mouth. That was the vice she took 3 years ago. Chaerin believed it was one of her way on reliving stress.

They arrived at the location of the presentation. Chaerin was welcomed by the employees and the person she can't wait to see.

"Hi Miss Lee. We are really pleased to have you here."

"oh it's a pleasure. It is actually my first time here in this country. I hope my stay is worthwhile."

"I'll make sure of that Miss Lee. By the way, I'm Kiko Mitzuhara. And I'll be the one who will be presenting this project to your company. I hope everything went well."

"Kiko Mizuhara?"

"Yes Miss Lee."

"Have we met before? Your face looks familiar..."

"Oh I'm not sure about that. I can be that it's déjà vu?"

"No! Don't be silly! Oh that's right! I remember now. Do you somehow know Kwon Jiyong?"

Chaerin can see how shock Kiko is when she dropped the name. It was the reaction she was expecting to see. Questions are written all over Kiko's face. Seunghyun is watching in the sidelines as he watched the conversation go on. Everything is going according to Chaerin's theories.

"ahh. Yes I know him. How'd you..."

"Wow! Small world isn't it? We were working at a same company like 3-4 years ago? And I've heard so much about you!"

"oh. you have? I really don't know..."

"yes! We are basically best friends before but then we've lost contact. I hope I can meet him soon. Would that be possible over tea?"

"yes! Yes of course! Definitely."

"great! Shall we begin the presentation?"

Chaerin walked together with Seunghyun to the presentation hall.

"You've worked hard Miss Lee."

"Worked hard? I haven't even started yet Secretary Choi."

The presentation started as Chaerin listens to Kiko's proposal. Some of the points are agreeable however, Chaerin listened carefully with full attention, she wanted to see if there's some hole with the said proposal. And if there's none, she will definitely find one. Luckily there are major points that Chaerin didn't agree. As the presentation come to an end, Chaerin was asked with her opinion. She looked at Kiko coldly like the Ice Princess is preparing for an attack.

"Well, this proposal is doable. However there are some points I'd like to be changed. The reason for that? I don't see any logic on why we have to go on with those points. Yes 'those' that means there are a lot of things that I do not agree on this proposal. We are doing business here. And I know you have that in mind but then again it seems to be that this proposal was mainly favorable just for your company. And another thing, I don't see the point why do you need us if your company can do this."

Kiko stayed rooted to the ground she's standing but then she felt like sinking to it as she sweats in beads.

"Now, since that were already here, why don't we give this partnership a chance? I've written some of the points I've been talking about earlier. I'll give this to my Secretary to give it to you. And I'd like to hear again from you Miss Mizuhara. Would 3 days be enough?"

It didn't go well as Kiko planned it to be. But she was hopeful with the 3 days provided to her. She was in deep thoughts as a nudge snap her out of it.

"hey Miss Mizuhara. You and Miss Lee were talking earlier right? And the guy she was talking about was your fiancé? Am I correct?"

"Yes. It seems to be that they are colleagues before. Is there something about it?"

"Well I was thinking, since she wanted to see her colleague, why not set a lunch date for that? Maybe your fiancé can help us on persuading Miss Lee."

"I don't think that's necessary Sir."

"Miss Mizuhara, I don't think you know who we are working with. That's Lee Chaerin. The Ice Princess of the industry. And we should please her as we can. Please Miss Mizuhara. Remember one thing, this project is your make or break. If this fails then you're out!"

Seunghyun was eavesdropping with the conversation and immediately go to Chaerin to tell.

"Miss Lee, everything is going on smoothly. Any time now she will be setting up a date."

"*smirk* that's good. Thank you Secretary Choi."
