Jungkook leads Tiger, Namjoon, and a giggling Hoseok to his bedroom.Hoseok's the first one to enter. He turns his head to study all the corners of his room, and runs towards the shelf full of trophies. "Oh my god, are these all yours?"
"Yep. Taekwondo." Jungkook explains, walking towards it. "It was a long journey."
"Muscle Bunny indeed." Tiger comments, standing in the door frame.
Jungkook chuckles. "Well, the documents are hidden in these two wardrobes. Nobody could read them, so I let them in different places. Joon, which documents do you want? I collected a lot of information about Bang PD, his mafia, his personal life, the people who worked for him during the kidnapping, all the incidents, all their cases in chronological order, all the kids' profiles, what they did to them—general and in some cases, like Jimin, specified—, and where they kept them."
Namjoon stays silent for a moment, biting the inside of his cheek. "For now let's search for Jimin's profile and the other kids."
"Okay. Tiger, you can search with me this one. Joon, Hobi, you look at that one." he points at the wardrobe facing the window.
Hoseok gasps, his lips shifting to form a wide smile. "Jungkookie poogie, you called me Hobi!! Is the first time, right? Aww, we're making progress, our friendship is growing."
Jungkook sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Don't make me regret it. Ah, and please, try not to snoop around my things."
"Got it."
"No worries Kook, we're here only for the papers."
Jungkook trusts Namjoon, but his main concerns are Hoseok and Jimin. The first one, because he'll poke around his belongings, no doubt about it. And the second, because he can't see anything related to their shared past.
On the other hand, Yoongi made himself comfortable in a blink of an eye. He picked one of the lunch boxes from the fridge and warmed the food in the microwave and brought it to the living room.
"My house looked similar, back when I lived with my parents in Seoul." Seokjin blurs out, calmly.
Jimin hums, placing the chopsticks down. "Do you miss them?"
He shrugs. "Sometimes. But I did the best for them, even if they never fully understand why I left. I just want to protect them."
"Of course you do, cutie. But I hope the kiddo doesn't have to, I can tell he has a good relationship with his parents."
"Mimi already saw his face, and if they followed us here," Jimin bites his lower lip and shakes his head. "Oh god, I don't even want to think about it."
"Exactly, me either. Disappearing from my parents' life was the best decision I could make."
Yoongi smirks, resting his back on the sofa with a pleasant sigh. "Did you already love Joonie a lot?"
"Of course I did. But I didn't have another option if I wanted to stay with him. When I chose Namjoon I chose this life, and no matter what decision I took, I would've had to sacrifice something."
* * *
The boys come out of Jungkook's room an hour later, groaning and patting their own shoulders.
"No luck, guys." Namjoon announces and sits on the sofa.
"You found nothing?" Yoongi questions, eyebrows raised.
"Jungkookie has a lot of things in his room. Go and see it for yourself," Hoseok walks towards the armchair and sits on Yoongi's lap. "For today I'm done."
