𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝟏𝟐𝟐

In just a week, the Bangtan Boys succeeded in planning the execution of their mission. It went quicker and smoother than they previously imagined. Life proved them one more time seven brains think faster and better than one.

The paper comes out of the printer and Seokjin picks it, squeaking. He rushes out of his office, coming back to the large table in the kitchen. Namjoon and Hoseok enhance the details to guarantee their victory—because it has to work, they don't have another option. "Guys, it's here! Edgar made it, he could send me the map. Look!"

"What map?" Hoseok lowers his own document. "Ahhhh! The mansion's map?! He's a jewel!"

"Mm-hmm."

Namjoon raises his eyebrows. "Your friend must have good contacts, I didn't think he would make it."

"He does." Seokjin explains, cracking a smile. "He's not my friend, just a work partner. We can trust him, he helped me with your case when they kidnaped you."

Namjoon hums, lowering his gaze at Yoongi's laptop. Just a work partner? "What he did was risky. I don't know how he managed to put his hands on that map, but if Bang PD and Mimi find out, they'll send someone to kill Edgar and his contacts. How long do you think it will take them to put two pieces together? Me being missing, someone stealing the maps of Bang PD's house. . . They'll foresee us."

Seokjin frowns, taking off his glasses and sitting next to the redhead across Namjoon. "He was careful. . . He always is. Edgar's a professional, like me."

"What I mean is," Namjoon sighs, resting his hands on the table. "Isn't it too risky for him to help us? Perhaps he does see you as a friend. He seems to appreciate you."

Hoseok belly-laughs, returning the paper to the detective. "Who cares! Namunskins, we've the map! The map. The last thing we needed to nail this mission! Jin, hurry, go tell the others. Hehehe, this is going to be good. Me and my gun are ready."

Seokjin slowly nods, his eyes fixed on Namjoon, who stares at the screen again. What is all this about? With a last glance to the silver haired, he leaves.

Namjoon exhales, lowering the screen with a quick movement of his hands.

The grin on Hoseok's face remains. "What's up with you, Nam? Aren't you happy? Look, the map! The map! You should mark the rooms and hallways you recognise, it will help us lots."

Hoseok hands him a pen and the warm paper. Namjoon accepts it reluctantly as his thoughts drift to Edgar. Why does he help us? The price he'll pay if he gets caught is worth the try? What does he win? Revenge on Bang PD or helping Jin? Does he want to get closer to Jin with these little favours?

"Hoseok, can you tell me more about Edgar? Did I meet him before?"

Seokjin and Yoongi stay behind to talk about some business, but the others meet the first and second leader and celebrate the good news together.

Jungkook finally hugs Jimin.

After the latter explained how he met Tiger and his reasons to despise the alter, Jungkook avoided him. Every time he faced him, he remembered the cruel words he yelled at him to defend Tiger for the, at that time, nonsense accusations.

At the end of the day, Jimin has a good reason for his behaviour towards the alter.

Jungkook needs to talk to Tiger to understand why he did it and solve the mess inside him. If he can understand him, maybe Jimin can do it. . . someday.

He promised himself he won't pressure the topic nor Jimin anymore. The blondie has all the right to distance himself from the alter, but the words the petite boy uses when he speaks about him still break Jungkook's heart.

Tiger's so much more than what everyone thinks.

Jungkook's sure his boyfriend will demonstrate it to him.

To everyone.

The Tiger Jimin met is gone. Dead. Inexistent.

Jungkook's sure—

He yelps when Taehyung hugs him from behind, lifting him off the ground for a second. Jungkook shakes his head as he laughs, while the other already babbles behind him with Hoseok.

But he isn't sure when Tiger will take over.

Since they began dating officially, every time the bear boy finds time to spend it with him, he does so. After all the months Taehyung spent liking him in secret, his feelings can now bloom freely and he refuses to waste more time.

Does Tiger want to take over but he can't because Taehyung's current feelings are stronger than his? Does he want Taehyung to spend more time with me because he knows he likes me?

But Tiger loves me.

Jungkook remembers the alter senses him when he's close or spends time with the bear boy. He would ask Taehyung to let Tiger take over like he used to do, but his Bear's so excited when he's with him, eyes filled with love, that Jungkook can't bring up the courage to do it.

All he can do is wait for Tiger to take over by himself. He hopes the alter has enough patience to have the unexpected conversation with him.

Until he doesn't speak with his first love about the incident, he won't fully relax at night.

"Kookie, Seokjinnie did it. I knew he would." Jimin says after processing the hug.

"He's the best detective in the world. I don't need proof, I just know it." Jungkook expresses calmly, stealing a glance to Seokjin when he comes back with Yoongi. "Edgar helped him, didn't he?"

Jimin nods, folding his arms over his chest. Edgar didn't only spend a good amount of hours with Seokjin with the excuse to find Namjoon (it weren't too many, but the blondie refuses to accept it), he also 'made' Jimin unintentionally confess his feelings to Jungkook when he complained about him.

"At least he does something right. . ." he grumbles, looking at the same direction.

"Come on, Jimin-ssi. Don't tell me you're still thinking about that one time? He didn't cheat on you with him."

"I didn't say that."

"But you insinuated it."

"I know Jin-ah didn't tell us the truth to protect us, but why is it always Edgar? Doesn't he have more detective friends? Is he the only one?"

"It seems like it." Namjoon agrees, joining the conversation. "I talked with Hoseok before, he said we never met him. Just Jin."

Jungkook ruffles Jimin's blond hair, messing it. "Detectives are secretive by nature. Edgar did us a big favour because he wanted to, no one forced him. Shouldn't we thank him, Jimin-ssi, instead of accusing him of stealing your boyfriend?"

"Who's stealing who? Edgar wants to steal Jin?"

Jungkook chuckles. "Holy moly, not you too, Joon."

"What? As the leader I want to have everything under control."

"Seokjin's social circle is not our business. If Seokjin trusts him, we can trust him."

"Not entirely."

"Hold on—why are you worried, Moni?" Jimin questions, looking up. "Because he may steal our boyfriend?"

Namjoon's eyes widen and takes a step back. "O-of course not. I'm worried about the mission. We know what will happen if Bang PD finds out someone has copies of his mansion's map."

"I haven't thought about it this way. . ." Jimin reflects. "I hope Edgar didn't mess this up while trying to help us."
