The clouds disperse, uncovering the spring blue sky.

Taehyung follows Jungkook's slow pace, keeping a protective and comforting embrace around his shoulders. They walk without direction around the lake path silently, both of them too lost in their own thoughts to mutter a single word.

Oh my, I did it! I did it! I did it! I kissed Jungkook. What would have I done if he died? What about Tiger? Oh my, he didn't push me away, he smiled. He smiled! He smiled! He smiled!

Holy moly, Taehyung kissed me. Not Tiger. Taehyung. Does he like me too? What are we?

"Are you feeling better?" Taehyung asks to break the silence. His thoughts began to get too loud and his heart beat frenetically when he pictured the kiss in his mind again.

He caresses Jungkook's nape as he removes his arm.

"Yeah, but my neck still hurts. They hit me here with the gun. . ." Jungkook rubs a spot behind his neck and hisses in pain.

"I can tell," Taehyung breathes, leaning his head forward to inspect the bruise. Jungkook lowers his head slightly to give the bear boy a better view.

Taehyung licks his lips and kisses the wounded skin, expecting to ease the pain by the simple and loving touch. He pulls away, locking his eyes with Jungkook's. "Does it feel better?"

Jungkook giggles at the elder's cuteness and innocence. "Yeah, thanks. . ." he holds Taehyung's hands, staring at his soft brown eyes. "For everything, Tae. Thank you."

Taehyung smiles. "You're welcome, Jungkookie."

They remain quiet, admiring the afternoon sun shining in their eyes like pearls.

Taehyung dug and buried his feelings for Jungkook so many times, blaming Tiger for it. But deep down he knew he liked Jungkook since the day he saved his life. Jungkook carried him out of the Busan woods in the pouring rain and didn't give up until they reached the others. They fought constantly, but Jungkook took care of him nonetheless.

When Taehyung thought he found Jungkook's lifeless body floating in the waters of the beautiful lake, his heart stopped. Tiger couldn't take over either, but Taehyung doubts he became aware of the situation—he must have just sensed his fear and Jungkook. If he became aware something terrible happened to Jungkook, why didn't he take over instantly?

As Taehyung stares at the beautiful dark doe eyes, he understands he doesn't like Jungkook. The emotion lies deeply in the bottom of his heart, rooted in him, being so much more than that, some people call it love.

Taehyung's head over heels for the nasty boy, everything happened too fast he couldn't avoid the fall.

He can't hide his feelings anymore.

Not from himself.

Not from Jungkook.

The latter cups Taehyung's cute bread cheeks, leaning slightly closer, but still keeping some distance between them.

What if he didn't mean it? What if he did it in the heat of the moment? He thought I was going to die.

Taehyung leans in, their noses brushing.

Jungkook's previous doubts erase from his mind, that's the only sign he needs to break the distance between them and kiss Taehyung's familiar lips.

They keep it soft, still processing the feelings they tried so hard to hide finally came out to the surface. Jungkook and Taehyung can't deny it anymore. No excuses can explain why they kissed a second time if they only see each other as friends.
