ONCE Mary finally arrived home, she did what she had begun to do as she ascended the staircase. It didn't take her that long to arrive back to the comfort of her home and luckily Penny's car wasn't parked in the driveway. Meaning she was still at the Lab. Mary had no idea what time she would be home so she needed to act efficiently and fast.
She buried down the occurrences that happened before, not allowing such negative energy to distract her concentration.
Just like before, she made sure the lights were off and the curtains closed — making her room dark just before turning on the static channel that roamed around the room with its loud noises. It was even more dark since it was late at night which would hopefully make it easier. Q
Mary felt her heartbeat suddenly feeling apprehensive and nervous but attempted to ignore it. An innocent boy's life was at stake and she was the only one who could truly help him. She placed the paper in front of her before closing her eyes and envisioned everything about Will Byers. She thought of the missing poster that she grabbed at school. The ones that Jonathan was hanging up before class. The two images of Will were imprinted in her mind. It took her a good while for her to fully concentrate as she slowly felt her mind escaping reality. Mary then slipped away from the physical world and into a dark nightmare...
