NANCY knew something was wrong when her best friend, Barbara didn't show up this morning in their first-period class at school. It wasn't like Barb to miss a day of school. Even when they stayed up late and had a movie marathon and didn't go to sleep until 3 a.m. on a school night. She cared too much about school and grades, one of the many things they had in common.
Ever since their slight argument last night, Nancy felt guilty about how things ended. She told Barb to go home after insisting that they should leave. However, Nancy didn't want to leave. At least not yet. She wanted to spend more time with Steve. Preferably alone. To which they did.
Nancy didn't really intend to lose her virginity last night. Which was...memorable to say the least. In all honesty, she felt awkward the entire time. She didn't know what to do but Steve helped guide her.
Also, she couldn't help but notice that Steve seemed a bit distracted. As if something was lingering in his head ever since the accidental drowning incident that happened with Mary. When she tried to question his behavior, he dismissed the idea and insisted that they just talk about something else.
Nancy wouldn't necessarily say that she regretted sleeping with Steve. It just wasn't what she expected how her first time would be. But she really likes Steve and she's glad that he was her first. She had a great time, as she told Steve this morning before school started.
However, sleeping with Steve wasn't what was on her mind as her eyes kept looking at the doors of the cafeteria. It was currently lunchtime and she was sitting with Steve and his friends at the lunch table. She barely paid no mind to their conversation.
Maybe Barb slept in late and decided to come to school later. Whenever she would see someone who would look similar to Barb, hope filled within her which would diminish when it wasn't her.
Her gut twisted. In the back of her mind, she assumes the worst. What if something bad happened to her? That she was taken just like Johnathan's younger brother.
