THE HIDDEN EXPERIMENT
heart to heart
MARY felt bad that she abandoned Johnathan and Nancy. The entire time she was riding her bike down the road, she contemplated whether going back. However, it was no use. It's not like she can bail them out or help them out of this situation. Also, she had an important goal in mind that she needed to focus on. Finding Eleven. She doesn't have time for any other distractions. Regardless of how guilty she feels.
It felt like forever that she was riding. To be honest, she was kinda lost. She thought she knew where she was going but turns out she doesn't. She should've asked Dustin which part of the woods they were going. Mary vaguely remember them mentioning that the last place they saw Eleven was at the abandoned junkyard.
While debating whether to go one direction or the other, from the corner of her eye, she could've sworn she saw a tall and dark figure. Watching her. She turned her body sideways to fully see the mysterious figure that was from a distance but was met with nothing. It must've been a tree or something. The paranoia was getting to her.
She didn't noticed or realize a huge rock planted on the side of the road. She was too late to react before hitting and falling to the ground. Her entire body landed on the dirt patch, scraping her arm and knees.
Mary let out a low groan in pain and held onto her knee to prevent the pain from hurting even more.
"Jezzus," she moans out.
She eventually got up and went to analyze her bike while rubbing both her elbows. The front tire of her bike was completely deflated. There was no point of riding the bike now. She did have another bike stored in the back yard at home but she'll unfortunately need to head back home to receive it. Mary let out an annoyed sigh before making her way back home on foot and with her unusable bike.
