THE HIDDEN EXPERIMENT
untrustworthy
MARY felt like she was in a standoff. She waiting for either of them to speak. She understands from their point of view that it seems odd that she knows about Eleven but she doesn't care. These boys were the only close connection to where this little powerful girl could be.
"H-how do you know about Eleven?" Dustin tensely stutters out.
"Why the hell are you even here?" Mike immediately followed up.
Mary ignored both their valid questions. "Is she here? Where's Eleven?" Mary eagerly replied. Her eyes start to dart around for any signs of the girl.
"I was right! I knew it all along," Mike declares directly. His sharp gaze made Mary confused. He was staring at her as if she was the enemy. Like he unmasked her secret agenda.
"W-what are you talking about?" Mary stumbles. Could he possibly know Mary's true identity? How would that be possible?
"Mike, don't," Dustin defensively tells him.
"I knew it all along! She's working with the bad men who are after Eleven! How else would she know about El!" Mike exclaims accusingly.
Mary narrows her eyes at his declaration. He sounded so confident yet so wrong. How and why could he deem that possibility?
"What? Why would you think that?" Mary questions out loud.
"Because your Aunt works at the lab. You most likely know what goes on there and she probably told you about Eleven which is the reason why you even know about her. Am I right?" He mockingly asked.
