MARY couldn't sleep that night. She tried hard since she hadn't gotten a proper night's sleep since all of this began.
She tossed and turned all night and before she knew it, the sun was coming up. All she wanted was to stay in bed and not leave from under her covers, but she was a girl on a mission. She needed to go to school so she could go to the AV room and try to find Eleven. Also, see if Will is truly dead. And to see if Barb was alright.
A thought then occurred to her. Could the Lab possibly be behind this supposed death? She didn't like the idea of Penny being a part of it but then again she has been involved in helping him experiment on Eleven.
She couldn't believe there was someone else like her. Mary thought she was the only person in the world who couldn't relate to what she had gone through. Now she's out there on the run from the Lab and Penny made it very clear that she wanted to find Eleven as well.
Mary took the covers off her before getting ready for the day. After taking a quick shower, she put on a long chestnut skirt with an oversized navy blue long-sleeve shirt that reached her bottom. She briefly put her hair in a high ponytail and slipped on her converse. She put her satchel bag over her body and made her way downstairs.
Mary was in such a rush that she did a complete double-take when she saw Penny freshly ready for the day. Sitting at the kitchen table while drinking from her mug. She wasn't expecting to find Penny here this morning considering she's been leaving early this past week.
"Why are you here?" Mary narrows her eyes suspiciously.
"I live here," Penny jokingly remarks.
Mary folded her arms, not in a joking mood. Penny's smile falls into a frown. "Sorry," she mumbles putting her coffee down.
