UNIRONICALLY, Mary didn't get much sleep last night. Possibly a few hours of rest. Which was what she needed the most during that time. She was able to physically rest her body though, but she wasn't able to mentally relax her mind. So many things were swirling through her thoughts that night that it felt like her head was going to explode.
How could she possibly focus or sleep when Eleven was out there alone at risk of getting caught? Or the fact that Nancy and Johnathan knew about her abilities and were most likely going to hunt her down and demand answers? Whether if Will or Barb are truly still alive and she wasn't able to remote view them because she needed a stronger source to access them? And how she can no longer trust the one person she thought she could count on — Penny.
Mary got up bright and early as she descended the stairs. She had about ten minutes until 8:00 am — which was the time she was meeting up with Dustin and Mike. Hopefully, they stayed true to their word and didn't abandon her. Which was pointless because she would've just gone out there to find her on her own. But they had the advantage of knowing where they last saw her which she didn't. So evidently, she needed their help.
Just as she rounded the corner to the kitchen, Penny came walking out of the living room and into the kitchen. Mary quickly hid behind the wall.
Penny was dressed in her loungewear as she took a sip of her coffee and read the newspaper. What was she still doing here? She's usually gone during this time.
Not wanting to face her and still bitter about their disagreement from last night, Mary quietly went back upstairs and into her room. Penny was most likely going to check up on Mary and she needed to make it seem like she was still in her room.
