THE revelation of Eleven's whereabouts only left Mary with more questions. She had no idea where the room that Eleven was in could be nor had she ever seen it before. This lingering question kept her up and she didn't get a wink of sleep once again. She didn't even know if Eleven was still in Hawkins. How can she help the little girl if she has no clue of where she could be?

However, she couldn't focus on this topic right now. Today was Will's Byers "funeral" and Mary was debating whether she should attend it or not. The immense guilt of knowing where Will was currently hiding was eating her on the inside. She wanted nothing more than to tell Johnathan about what she knows, but it'll make her seem crazy and she'll have to explain how and why she knows all of this.

Mary stared at herself in the mirror. She felt very underdressed — considering she didn't own anything too formal or fancy. The only appropriate funeral attire she had in her closet was a black long flowy skirt with a black T-shirt. She paired it with a black zip-up sweater and her over worn converse.

In any other circumstances, she would ask Penny to borrow her clothes since she's known to have a wide variety of clothing from formal to super casual. But she couldn't since Mary "promised" that she wouldn't attend the funeral since there would be unwanted and discreet guests attending. Of course, this had her extremely worried and she was actually considering not going at all. However, she didn't want to disappoint Johnathan, and with that in mind, she fully made up her mind.

The wake had a very dark tone once Mary approached the scene. The ceremony has already begun. Not wanting to cause attention, she stood next to a tall tree just behind the guests and the ceremony was taking place. She was surprised that many people had attended the funeral ceremony considering Will wasn't that well known in town. She spotted Johnathan and his mom, Joyce, across from the rows of chairs and they were sitting up front near the casket of Will's "body."
