i stirred in bed, being lightly awoken by gus getting home from the studio. "what time is it?" i yawned. "late. i'm sorry" he whispered. he seemed to pace around the room a little instead of coming to bed, it was strange. "what's wrong?" i asked him, sitting up in bed.
"i have some good-bad news" he said. "what do you mean good-bad news?" i was confused. "we're going on tour" he said. "babe that's great" i told him, his career was going great.
"yeah but i'm gonna have to be gone for a month" he said solemnly. oh right, i didn't think of that. "and i don't think it'd be good for you to come, you know with the baby and all" he added
"no, i agree" i said, "when do you leave?". "in a week" he said. "oh" i sighed.
"are you mad at me?" he asked. "no" i said. i wasn't mad. this was good for him, for us. it would be hard though, he was our lifeline.
"if you need me i'll come home right away though. you guys are always my priority" he told me, "okay" i nodded.
'"are you sure this is okay?" he asked, "i'm sure. i'm proud of you, come to bed" i told him.
"everything is going so right" he said, "i know" i agreed. "who would have thought this is where we'd end up?" i asked "i'm glad we did" he said.
"what made you decide to come to la anyways? from new york? how'd you get out here?" he asked
"no reason, i left and just kept going. ended up here and decided to stay" i shrugged, there was't much to it.
i looked over and gus had fallen asleep while we were talking. "night gus" i whispered.
i was really worried honestly, we only had a week left before he left. what if something goes wrong while he's gone? of course that would happen to me. i really don't know what i'd do.
"oh gus, i really dont want you to go" i whispered, i didn't want to wake him up.
