Chapter 31 - Lily

Rosetta's POV:

"Rose come on, come on" he beckons me down the stairs
"I'm coming" I meet him near the fireplace "I was just making sure Hally had everything for Harry"
"She's fine, come on"

I head into the fireplace, James ,who is practically shaking with excitement, follows suit.
I grab a handful of floo powder
"St Mungo's" once arriving we head over to the maternity ward.

Once there we sign in at the desk,
"Hi!" A chirpy young woman greets us "have you got an appointment?" She levitates the appointment list to head height before pulling her glasses down onto her nose
"Yes we do but we are a bit early" i let the woman know
"That is no problem at all, what is your name?"
"Rosetta Potter" she hums as she looks down the list
"Just give me a second sweet pea, so many names" she has another look and then points on the paper. "Yes your right here, your second check up I believe" she asks
"Yes that's right" I state a little overwhelmed at her whole demeanour
"Fantastic" she grins "You can find out the gender today, how exciting!" She claps her hands together quickly like a little kid
"Yes we're very excited" James steps in
"So you should be, I can see you are a little bit early but not to worry, you can head into the waiting room on your right and a medi witch will be with you shortly"
"Thanks" we both say as we head off
"No problem, have a good day"

We head on into the waiting room to see there is only two other couples in the room, one of the women looks very pregnant and the others bump is very subtle like mine.

"She was very excitable" James says as we sit down
"Very being the key word there"
"At least she seems happier to be here unlike the woman at the main reception desk"
"Good point" I look around at the images around the room of mums with their newborns, something I didn't notice the last time I was here; probably because I was too busy arguing with James and........Lily
"You alright?" James leans in slightly to ask
"I just realised the last time we were here was with Lily" I pause "we were arguing on me not wanting to have too many kids and Lily kept interrupting with little comments"
"Yeah, I remember"

"Ellie Carmen" the very pregnant woman gets up and heads with the medi witch

"What do you think this little one will be?" James swiftly changes the subject which I appreciate immensely
"Well I know you want a girl" I point at him
"True, true, what about you though?" He asks curiously
"I don't have a preference, just a healthy baby" he nods

A woman enters the room carrying a handful
"Do you need some help?" I ask her as she tries to look around the stuff she's holding
"If you don't mind, that'd be great" I take a bag off her and a large bottle of water. She sits in a seat next to me as we place her stuff down on the seat next to hers on the other side "thank you, was afraid I'd fall on my face then" she laughs "I'm Elizabeth but you can just call me Liz" she holds out her hand
"I'm Rosetta and this is my husband James", I shake her hand and then she shakes James' hand
"Hello Rosetta and husband James"
We sit down together and she quickly brakes the silence again
"So are you here for a check up?" She asks
"Second check up" I tell her "you?"
"Third" she nods
"So what are you having?" James asks her
"There's two girls in here" she grins
"Twins" my eyes widen
"Yes, I'm very excited, what about you?"
"We're going to find out the gender today but it's just one"
"Is this your first?" She questions curiosity in her voice
"Yes it is" James answers
"Awww sweet"

"Rosetta Potter" a medi witch calls
"It was nice to meet you Liz" I say as I get up
"You too, good luck"
"Thanks"

Me and James head out of the waiting room following after the medi witch who escorts us to a room down the hall, once entering she shuts the door
"Please takes a seat" I sit on the padded seat whilst James sits at the side "okay so I see here" she looks at a piece of paper which must have our details on "that this is your second check up, so let's have a look shall we" she pushes the chair back so I'm pretty much laying down "have we had any issues since you last came in?" She ask
"Just a lot of nausea and lots of dizziness" I tell her as I lift my shirt up just above my stomach
"That's normal for this stage so nothing to worry about; so should we have a look" she grabs her wand and starts to check showing an image just behind her
"Everything's looking good, very healthy" my mouth drops open looking at the baby in my womb "makes it all real now doesn't it?" She smiles at us
"Yes" I breathe out as James takes my hand in his
"Would you like to find out the gender today?"
"We would" James nods
"Congratulations Mr and Mrs Potter you are having a girl"
"Yes!" James fist bumps the air excitedly
"I will just nip out for a moment" the medi witch says as she gets up and heads out the door, I sit up and push my shirt back down and swing my legs to the side of the seat
"A little girl" James says softly having calmed down slightly "a mini you" I smile at him

It doesn't take long for medi witch to come back carrying a picture
"This is for you, a picture of your baby" she hands it to us before opening the door for us "If the nausea gets unbearable feel free to get in touch and we can find a way to lessen it" she tells me
"Thanks"
"No problem, congratulations" we head off straight for the stairs and to the fireplace

"Potter manor" I call and we're finally back home

"Welcome back" Hally smiles as she sees us "how was it?" She asks
"We're having a girl" James tells her
"How exciting!" She squeals lightly "any names yet?"
I hum thinking
"I was thinking no matter what I'd like her middle name to be Lily"
"I love that" James wraps his arms around my waist
