Chapter 22 - Family life

7th May

Rosetta's POV:

"I've finally finished" my husband speaks up from the doorway to the kitchen
"Finished what?" I ask half heartedly not really paying attention
"Harry's room" he says as if it's obvious
"He's already been in there for a couple of months" I ponder
"Yes but I finally sorted out the toy box, and wardrobe"
"You were supposed to do that around a month ago"
"Yeah, yeah" he mutters "wait!" He speaks up alarmed "where is Harry?" I point towards the garden where Rem is playing in the grass with him "when did Moony get here?" James asks
"About half an hour ago" i then go back to cutting up the strawberries for Harry's snack.

"Hey Moony!"
"Prongs" I roll my eyes at how loud my husband is, his voice travels through walls.

Once I finish cutting the strawberries I grab a packet of Harry's crisps out of the cupboard along with some wipes and head outside. Whilst James and Rem are chatting I place Harry's plate it front of him and he starts picking at the strawberries and crisps, picking up one crisp and a piece of strawberry up in each hand and then spending like two minutes deciding which to eat first.

The minute I look away from him he throws a piece of strawberry on the ground
"Harry" I grab a wipe to pick up the strawberry and place it to the side making a mental note to put it in the bin later.

"Last I heard was from Reg who was told by Rosalie that Rory is sleeping in another room at the minute" I hear Rem tell James
"He's what?!" I jump in
"Yeah apparently he brought up that they had Pansy too soon and basically made Pansy out to be Rosalie's mistake" I shake my head
"He realises that it takes two to you know...?" James leaves the question hanging
"I can't believe he didn't think to tell me that" I think aloud "I only spoke to him yesterday" I pause "when did Reg tell you that?" I ask
"Couple of days ago"
"Brilliant so now my brothers not telling me things, fantastic" i throw my arms up and as I do so Harry starts to whine "no, no, sorry" I pick him up to give him a cuddle but he starts outright crying
"Here, let me" James takes him and he starts to calm down
"Are you kidding me Potter?!"
"Look Rory knows you've been" Rem  pauses
"Been what?"
"Struggling at times with adjusting to motherhood perhaps he didn't want to stress you" Rem offers
"That's ridiculous, I'm not struggling, I'm just........yeah alright" I cave "I'm still going to talk to him"
"Don't tell him I said anything or that Reg told me" Rem begs
"I won't, best friends honour" I place my hand on my heart and we both laugh "do you think Rosalie and Rory will split up?" I ask
"Bit more difficult in the wizarding world, marriage tends to be permanent" James speaks up
"You mean I'm stuck with you" I make eye contact with him
"Forever" he whispers, I roll my eyes "besides I think they do love each other in there own weird way, they'll work it out, not every marriage can be as smooth sailing as ours"
"Didn't you two consider splitting up when you" Rem points at James "said you wanted like five kids and Rose said no way, and there was the, oh I don't know five or so years where she hated you in school"
"Alright, alright, we get the point" James silences him
"You won me over in the end though" James nods
"Honestly I'm a little surprised it's Rosalie and Rory having problems I always thought it would be Kayla and Reg who'd end up having problems when they had been married for a while" I admit
"Why them?" Rem asks
"Why?" James questions
"Well I mean they had issues in school and then it took them a while to make up, Kayla's quite a jealous person and Reg flirts with anything that moves so I just figured they'd have issues"
"Well you were wrong, I mean she's pregnant" James intervenes
"Yeah"
