Chapter 32 - Katy

30th Jan

In the waiting room once again; waiting to hear any news from Kayla and Reg.

Reg finally bursts out of the room full of energy
"I'm a dad, I'm a dad" he cheers arms in the air in celebration but he freezes up "wait; what do I know about being a dad? what am I doing?" His eyes go wide in panic
"you've had 9 months to prepare why are you worried now?" James interrupts Reg's rant
"James honey, shut up" I tap him on the shoulder glaring at him, I know I'll panic like Reg when my little ones born
"how about I help Kayla and you help my wife come to grips with becoming a mum" James offers
"I don't think so" Reg shakes his head and enters the room to see Kayla again followed by me and James.

In o.1 seconds Reg has got their baby in his arms rocking her back and forth a huge grin on his face.

"We decided on calling her Katy" Kayla speaks up sounding, understandable, drained.

"Awww cute, Katy Black"
"Katy Regulus Black" Regulus winks
"I said no" Kayla glares at her husband who backs laughs to himself "now, not to be rude or anything but I'm going to sleep, this doesn't mean you have to leave it just means I'm going to sleep" James laughs amused
"Ooh" I place a hand on my stomach
"Rose? You okay?" Reg asks as him and James face me
"Yep all good" I put my thumbs up
"What was the ooh about then darling?" James questions as he wraps an arm around my shoulders
"I think this one's feeling jealous the attentions not on her" I shake my head "she's already too much like you"
"She kicking again?" my husband grins placing a hand on my stomach "ahh I always miss it" he pauses after pulling his hand away "wait what do you mean she's too much like me?" He frowns
"Attention seeking" I shrug
"I'm not attention seeking" James tilts his head to the side
"Yes you are" me and Reg reply at the same time, we both laugh.

"Well we should let you two rest and we'll see you soon" I hug Reg's side making sure not to squish the little girl in his arms
"Yeah we'll see you soon guys, thanks for coming" Reg pats James on the back
"No problem mate"

"Bye Reg" me and James head for the door "look after Kayla" I give him a pointed look
"Yes ma'am" he salutes and we exit the room shutting the door behind us to give them their privacy.

"Back home we go" James holds out his hand to me
"This'll be fun" i take his hand closing my eyes to minimise the dizziness

"You can open your eyes now love" James takes my hand off my eyes and we head into the house to see Hally playing with Harry.
"Hi Hally, how was everything?"
"Very good, Harry ate most of his food and had an hour nap" she tells me as she watches Harry knock over his toy blocks giggling lightly as he does
"I'm glad, hi baby" I kiss Harry's cheek before standing up straight again and facing Hally and James ,who is now sat next to Hally on the floor "we had a long night and morning so I'm going to head to bed for a nap" I head over to the stairs and start climbing them yawning as I do
"Have a good sleep love" James calls loudly
"Thanks love" I respond as I near the top of the stairs, I walk down the corridor towards mine and James' room when I make it inside I get changed and get into bed but typically my little girl starts kicking wanting attention "Go to sleep" I moan as I poke my stomach lightly, eventually she stills and a I fall into a deep dreamless sleep.
