An idea I had in my notes in the past 2 years ago, and finally decided to write it.

The guy at the top is Hawks from MHA and his quirk is basically yours in this story with added abilities.

You were a medical student here at Nevermore, as you were a Phoenix hybrid, you had healing abilities, you could hold onto something and transfer healing energy into what you wanted to repair, whether it was slitted-up skin, broken bones, or even internal issues.

You were quite popular with the clumsier students, but also the furs, as they were always roughhousing, they would often come to you for a quick fix. You were noticeable due to your blood orange wings, they always stayed tucked in close to your back, as they were large when expanded. You preferred keeping them out of people's way, despite everyone's fascination to touch them, they respected your wishes as you let people know they were quite sensitive, the smallest pluck of your feather could make you sore for a couple of days.

You were fire-resistant however, no amount of flame could hurt you for a long period of time, but you weren't invincible to it. Your tears were magical, they also had healing properties, so you learned to force yourself to cry on command just in case of any extreme emergencies. You were also able to communicate with any bird, meaning you were never alone in terms of company.

_______________

"No, Iago, I'm not giving you another mango slice," I tell my pet sun parakeet, who was more like a friend to me, he flaps his wings once at me, showing his disagreement with my words, making me chuckle. So, I scratch under his chin with my index finger, causing him to coo in delight, forgiving me quickly.

"See? You don't need treats, just a lot of love," I say lovingly to my best friend, watching the way his feathers puff up as he bobs his head up and down, squawking in glee a few occasional whistles followed too.

'I'm so glad I don't have a roommate; I don't think they'd be able to deal with Iago' I think to myself with a small chuckle leaving my throat, causing my companion to tilt his head to the side.

"Laugh?" He croaks, then a few seconds later he laughs himself, his head moving up and down rapidly as he mimics the noise.

"Yes, laugh," I baby-talk him, causing him to squawk mockingly, as he playfully nibbles on my finger, causing me to giggle.

"Mango slice please," he chirps out, causing me to sigh, rolling my eyes at him with a small smile as I walk around my room, making sure it is clean and tidy, I can hear the flap of Iago's wings behind me, playing around on his climbing frame I had built all over my room so he'd never get bored or feel anxious being in the small space for so long, and if worse comes to worse, I can let him out my window, he'd always come back.

I was currently sorting through my bandage drawer, making sure none were out of date, or damaged when I heard the sound of scuttling on glass, it was oddly close, too close for my liking, so I raised my head, directing my attention to my window, seeing something dangling from it, trying to desperately find a grip to not fall three stories down.

"Oh my god!" I gasped, running over to my window, throwing it open, and looking up to see a hand dangling down from the upper ledge, his fingers turning white from the amount of force he was using to keep himself up. I recognised this hand: Thing Addams, a small companion belonging to Wednesday Addams, and he seemed to be in quite a pickle.

"Thing?" I call out, making the being jump in fright, he falls quickly, but I cup my hands, holding them out to catch him in time, his soft, lightweight lands in my palms, and it's only then that I see how badly hurt he is, "Oh, you poor... " I stop mid-sentence, realising how dumb it would be to say his name out loud in a sentence like that.
