Summary: Top Y/n x Wednesday

A/N: It's finally here... Sorry for the wait. 😅 Although I would like to say in my personal opinion, Wednesday tops all the way. Unless she's with Enid, then those Alpha werewolf genes are unstoppable.

Being someone with the ability to control plants had its ups and downs. As did all abilities. You loved nature, you remembered being that weird kid out in the playground collecting bugs rather than playing tag with the rest of the kids at recess. You distinctly remember bugs being your favourite company over any other human being you had met.

Then your teenage years hit, puberty came knocking at your door with not only the annoying, unavoidable features like acne and pube hair. You were now conscious of your weirdness, the fact that you could never fit in with your peers.

Yet Nevermore Academy embraced that uniqueness, expected you to thrive and own it in a way no one else could. They had herbology classes, where they would teach students how to properly care for and handle certain plants, whether they were safe or toxic.

Naturally, you gravitated to the school's garden, the dozen miscreants that came in the form of creepy crawlies made you feel less alone. You took great care of the plant life, no one had asked you to do it, you just wanted to.

Many assumed you would go on to do great things in Herbs and Botanics, such as medical care or finding new cures for the poor and benefiting the world in an environmentally friendly way. You weren't really sure what you wanted to do yet in terms of a future job; all you knew was that you wanted to be surrounded by plant life.

Your interests didn't go unnoticed, especially in the eyes of a certain Addams who liked to call herself a miscreant, something you thrived around. The strange and unusual were always at the foot of your door, whether it was in the form of spiders, ant colonies or the few rare praying mantises that found their way into your room in the middle of the night.

You weren't afraid of the unknown, you didn't avoid it, you accepted it. You didn't turn your nose up at the people who were different; you welcomed them, brought them into a sanctuary of acceptance and gentleness.

Wednesday used to hate you for that. She thought people like you had no backbone, that you were some sort of modern hippie. At first impression, she thought of you as a sunflower, bright and caring to the area around you, able to lift a smile onto anyone's lips that took one look at you.

But you weren't a sunflower, that was... basic. A choice Wednesday had regretted making. She hated sunflowers, anything colourful, cheery, lively. She loathed being near it, she felt nauseous just at the thought of someone being so... joyful.

Her first impression wasn't a proper impression, at least that's what she told herself, she never gave you the benefit of the doubt like she would with most people, unless they really annoyed her within the first few moments of existing right in front of her, to which she wouldn't dare fo near them again.

You were... special. You weren't delicate or fragile. You had this melancholic beauty, much similar to a red spider lily, but the vibrant resilience of a marigold. You held the thoughtful remembrance of a pansy flower and the noble wisdom of an Iris. Your beauty was regal in the form of a lily.

You were this... bouquet of indescribable scents of differences that made you, you. Of course, you smelled captivating too, after surrounding yourself with so many different pollens. Wednesday had come to know you as the familiarity of a Gardenia, the strong essence of tulips and the calmness of lavender.

On the outside, you looked radiant, gentle, a symbol of purity. Yet you weren't just those things, sure, you were always kind to others, always believing everyone had something good about them until they proved otherwise. But you weren't the pushover she thought you were.
