Wednesday Addams Oneshots

Why Not Both? Or Just one... pt.2

2 months into dating, Kayla has been... well... an emotional rollercoaster let's just say. 

It's not that Kayla is any issue at all; she's still sweet and wonderful, and you genuinely think all the bad bones in her body just mellowed over time with her immunity to being a vampire. She listened to your boundaries and respected your space but pushed you just enough to let her in and be vulnerable with her. 

She was an old-school romantic, meaning no hanky panky before marriage, which wasn't exactly the modern way of doing things, but you were grateful because, with the way things had taken a turn, you really couldn't even begin to think about losing your virginity right now. 

Everything was fine, at least at the start. 

Your friends congratulated you when you shared the news, etc. 

But now... now Wednesday and Enid were just being... weird. 

They let you have a month's bliss where it was just you and Kayla, going on dates, being cheesy and cute, taking pictures of one another for memories and whatnot. Then Wednesday and Enid suggested a double date. 

That was innocent enough; you all went to get coffee at the Weathervane, each couple on their own side of the booth as you all chatted and let your two friends get to know your girlfriend. 

Then, all of a sudden, innocent questions such as 'What are you majoring in?' Turned into 'What are your intentions with Y/n? You better not be taking advantage of her'. Until the whole thing just turned into the Goth making blunt, mild threats where Enid was saying backhanded compliments and even going as far as to play the overly nice demeanour whilst doing so. 

Kayla thankfully took it all in stride with a calm aura, answering each comment peacefully and in a way where she wasn't offending anybody. You still cut the double date short, as you were beginning to feel uncomfortable with the unneeded tension you had no idea where it spawned from. 

You apologised profusely to your girlfriend, going as far as to promise you'll get the couple to apologise to her and set things right. 

...

If only you had realised how stubborn the young Addams and Sinclair were. 

They refused head-on, claiming they didn't need to apologise and were only looking out for you. This infuriated you. They had congratulated you when you first announced your dating status, they were supposed to be happy for you, just like you were for them. 

But you couldn't bring yourself to go full rage mode on them. They still had a soft spot in your heart even though it wasn't as strong as before. 

So, you went back to Kayla, defeated and unsure of what to do, but the cuddle session she offered you certainly helped in lifting your mood.

Another Month Later

Yoko, Bianca, Ajax, Eugene and Divinia were all as equally baffled as you by the clear distaste the werewolf and seer had for your girlfriend. 

Neither of you could pinpoint what Kayla had done to offend them so badly, and when you had tried to figure out if there was some past feud between the three, your girlfriend had told you the honest truth about never having interacted with them before meeting you. 

This was just one of those weird rough patches, right? I mean, you can't guarantee everyone would adore your girlfriend the way you did. Eventually Wednesday and Enid would warm up to her...
